Have you checked your brakes and bled them lately?

Make sure your fluid level is good and brakes are adjusted (self adjusters). <my guess.

Press the pedal and hold it. If the pedal moves towards the floor, your master is leaking.

Start the engine and shut it off without touching the brake. Press the brake to see how many presses it takes for the brake pedal to get hard. This tests the booster "reserve". If your booster fails, you will get a hard pedal during braking because it won't be assisting.

Is your fluid level staying full, or is it losing fluid?

Also check wheel bearings. Worn out wheel bearings will loosen up your pads up front causing the need to pump your brakes.

Ok. I ask because if you noticeably lose fluid but there is no leak found, the rear seal could be leaking into the booster.
Like MadTaco461 said, other issues could cause brake problems. However, if you press and hold the brakes and it goes to the floor, look for leaks/master cylinder internal failure.

I got a new master cylinder, and have so far bled everything but the front drivers side wheel. I did the prop valve as well. Clean fluid coming through no.

No change in the brake feel!

Any tests i can do to see if the booster is bad? I may run it to a shop and have them bleed the brakes, in case somehow I'm simply not using my Mity vac correctly.

I didnt see any fluid leaking on the back of the old master cylinder, nor nothing on the booster.

A booster just makes it easier to press your brakes. You'll know if the booster is bad. Dead booster makes the pedal hard to press like when the engine is off. It sounds like your boost is just fine.

I still say check wheel bearings, check the adjusters in your drums, check any rubber brake hoses if they swell when you press the brakes(can be replaced with stainless steel lines or fresh stock lines), and for kicks check to see if your front brake pads are wearing evenly.

Ive got the front DS wheel off.

No movement from the wheel or any bearing noise. Everything seems just fine. Pads are pretty worn, but You would think it could still stop.

    Hmm

You could have a bit of slop in all your pads. Don't forget to check those rear drums too. I'll adjust my rears til they rub the drums and back it off a few clicks. It will make some difference in your pedal. I tend to go for the basic maintenance wear items first.

Doesn't help that a tacoma has a squishy pedal to begin with.

Just got in my truck and my brake pedal is hard to push feels like a rock. It wont leave park until I start it and then the brakes are sensitive. They will lock up if I drive long enough and only release when I remove the vacuum hose off the booster itself. I can't seem to find a booster at any parts store I can order. I was just fucked over by O'Reilly's who ordered one last week and waited until today to tell me it was an inventory error and they cannot get one. I found one on Discount Auto site and Ebay I need help with a part #. I have a 07 Pre Runner 2wd no stability control. I found a booster online which says it will fit my model part #53-4925. Has anybody ordered a booster online and not from Toyota? SHould I grab one off ebay or Amazon? Local parts stores have it on their sites but say they do not have it in their warehouse.
