Hey friends, upon changing out my foglights yesterday, I noticed a small leak from my front passenger brakes area. I did noticed a slight spongy feeling from my brakes a day prior to. Anyone have experience or issues with this. I know this will be a minor repair but I'm not sure what is it exactly yet. I appreciate all and any words of wisdom.

Most likely a leak somewhere in the caliper. I would clean it off and check it a few hours later. Unless you’ve been adding brake fluid and it’s leaking fast.

Tough to tell from your pic, but there appears to be a nick in the hard brake line about an inch from the caliper.

As has already been said, clean the whole area and check back in a day or so.

    ^Good eye, Tom!
Have someone press on the brake & observe where it's squirting out from is what I'd do.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your brakes....hope this helps.

As already mentioned I would first attempt to clean the area with brake keen and alow time to dry. Have someone pump the brake to observe any leaks as mentioned above. There is no point bleeding the brakes until the leak has been found. I would first check the bleader valve and as mentioned the flat spot spotted in the photo for a possible leak.
Once this has be corrected follow the guides here on how to bleed the brakes....ect.
    Keep us posted

Update: Its not the brake fluid that's leaking. Its power steering fluid leaking from the seals of the rack and pinion. I recieved a quote of $1340 (parts and labor) to replace. I found some rack and pinions online and there are DIYs on here for these. This will be a early spring project for myself.

Have the same issue. It's progressively gotten worse in the past couple years. I have a rack waiting if I get the motivation to do it.

Since it's not a immediate safety concern such as braking, it can wait a little bit
