I don't really have an issue with break dust. I just wash it when the truck gets dirty.

Or you could just not drive your truck ever, then you don’t have to worry about it.

I keep my wheels waxed. Seems to do a pretty good job of preventing dirt and dust from adhering to the wheels. So far so good!

It’s so foreign to me that people keep their trucks spotless. I park my truck outside, take it off road, drive 50+ miles through rural areas to work…I usually wash my truck when I realize I can’t see out of my windshield…

I've been kind of surprised at the amount of dust the stock pads throw off. I try to wash the truck every week or so and that helps clean the dust off before it etches itself into the wheels.

    Redneck window tint!

Cops around here usually don't mess with a dirty truck.

In all seriousness, if you’re worried about break dust on wheels do some research into different pad compounds that companies offer and see which have the least amount of dust production and go from there. A lot of the more performance pads out there tend to give off more dust, semi metallic I believe are a little cleaner than organic but I could be wrong. I don’t care enough to actually know for myself which compounds/manufacturers have the cleanest pads.

I rotate the front wheels to the back.

The brake dust is gone by the time the fronts get dirty again.

Since no one has answered the question. I hit my wheels with Carpro Iron-x, rinse, the wash with car soap.

Several companies offer products like iron-x. I would recommend putting a ceramic coating to help keep them cleaner and protect the wheel.

I use P&S Brake Buster diluted 1:4 with water in a spray bottle. It does a great job on the wheels and tires.

I don't think polar opposites are the only two options here. I wash mine once a month, sometimes less, sometimes more. Its dirty more than its "clean". Still, when I wash it I spend time to do a proper job about it, that includes washing the crap off the wheels.

That was my old 02 Tundra, I used it for work, picking up sod, stone, top soil etc. I traded that in for the Tacoma. I don't use this truck for work, don't go off road, only for pulling a boat and surf fishing. So staying on top of the cleaning of the truck is important. My last truck was a rust bucket!

I don’t mean to polarize, just pointing out the stark differences in mentalities. My father in law is a wash n wax every week, by hand, kinda guy. I didn’t grow up that way, trucks are trucks unless it’s a show truck. That’s just me
Lmao I love my truck buuuut I also love the desert and forest roads sooo
