Came home from a day of bumpy off-roading with a sagging Jerry Can about to fall off the back of my truck! I bought a strap style can holder and it was mounted by the four holes on one of the sides. It bent outwards when I had my 6 gallon can in it on a fairly potholed and rutted road for 20 miles.

I think this style would only work when also supported on the bottom. It’s clearly not for hanging cans with no bottom support.

I have a Rig’d ultraswing with a lot of different mounting options on it, and was wondering what type of mounts should I have bought instead of the sagging one I got that is useless?

    Anyone ever try these?

How did your cans mount up before? I recently just got a dual can holder from Chad over at BashFab. Need to get it powder costed but I loved that they were set up for multiple mounting styles.

Very curious what brand you had and how/where it failed. Did the sheet metal rip out? Any pics?

getting ready to buy one myself and guess I don’t want the one that failed on you

I bought this style can holder and it was mounted by the four holes on one of the sides. It bent outwards from the top corners which are not supported to the mount, allowing the can to lean outwards.

I think this style will really only work when also supported on the bottom. It’s clearly not for hanging cans with no bottom support.
