So after reading the bora install instructions says the warranty will be void if I use loctite but yet it seems like I need to use it with spacers IDK. Do you guys apply loctite to your Bora spacers? I know spidertrax supplies the loctite but bora doesn’t. What is the Torque specs for the spacers and wheels for a 2013 Tacoma?

Eeeh!! Personally I’d use Loctite. But if Bora says no then I guess not. I’d definitely check them often. I torque my wheels to 80 ft/lbs.

I have BORA 3/4" spacers and did not use Loctite. Spacers torqued to whatever the instructions say and wheels to 83ft/lb (I think i did the spacers the same... can't remember). Been running them like that for years without issue.

I didn’t use loctite when I installed Bora wheel spacers. I checked after a few hundred miles it was still tight. I think I tightened them around 83 ft/lb same for both spacers and wheel lug nuts.

Just some info, spidertrax instructions state 90ft/lb, then check them after 50 miles at 80 ft/lb.
I just installed mine on Sunday.

bora says re-torque after 5 miles. I’m guessing it’s because they don’t require loctite like spidertrax

Don't worry about the loctite. Torque everything correctly and you'll be fine

5 years on my spidertrax spacers and about 60k miles. At first I used loctite. After taking them on and off several times I got tired of cleaning it out of the threads. I haven’t used it in a couple of years and no problems. Using it or not using I didn’t see any difference.

I associate loctite to fasteners that are subject to vibrations or risk backing off.

Properly torqued lugs never back off, especially on spacers.

I do think that the possibility of a spacer coming loose once properly torqued is pretty low. There is one thing to consider about the use of loctite. It also serves as a thread sealer, preventing corrosion, galling and seized lug nuts. Spacers often get left in place for long periods of time, unlike wheels that get rotated on a regular basis. The spacer nuts are also open ended. If you live where they salt the roads, or you cross water occasionally, I would use loctite. Nearly every threaded fastener on my truck gets either loctite or anti-seize depending on the application. 45 years of wrenching has led me there. I loctite my spacers with blue loctite, going on 140,000 miles now.

after thinking about it before putting on the spacers I decided not to use loctite but instead check them to see if they’re in spec everytime I rotate my tires
