Anyone else notice a trend of boots wedged between the cab and bed? I just seen a kid in his brand new Colorado complete with dealer tags and an even newer pair of boots wedged in there.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Well if you are dumb enough to buy a new GM I doubt your are smart enough to realize that area flexes and will destroy the paint.

I wanted to with my tacoma but my gumboots didnt fit :(

Sucks when you need gum boots and you have to get out of the truck, I wanted to skirt along my running boards to the bed haha.

I saw this all the time when I was still at Clemson a few years back. Always thought it was a terrible place to put shoes, for the sake of your shoes and truck. All that water getting kicked up in the rain between the bed and the cab certainly would find its way in there. Better off just leaving them in the bed, but then you cant show off how country you are...

Gumboots kinda clash with skirts, I think they go better with wranglers or overalls.

This is nothing new, if you work around a farm its the thing to do. You dont want boots with cow shit in your cab, if you lay them in your bed a snake or other critters can make a home there,as well as them getting wet on the inside, so hanging upside down is ideal. However, there is a product to better accomplish this task.

Those look very handy- found the website for it- they are designed and sold by an 8th grader in Texas!

    http://www.rubberbootbuddy.com/my-product/

Would be nice if it folded down when not in use, should suggest that to him.

They also get stolen or fall out, lost a few that way too. That hanger idea is good, I have a cap so putting it within reach of the rear window in the bed will work nicely.

I use to work in the oil field and I kept my boots between the cab and bed. I drove on allot of dirt roads and the dust would get in them bad. When you put them on your socks would get filthy. When you tucked your pants legs in them they would get dirty.

It comes from factory for a Chevy. They need a good pair of boots to wear when they're on the side of the road waiting for a tow :D

The "country hick" image is getting really popular here, I don't try to understand it.

They're called shit kickers (all dairy men have a pair in that spot) and you put them there for easy access when getting out of the cab. Some people have jobs where they work in the mud and water a lot.
