So I last week I installed my new Body Armor 4x4 bumper. Its looks bad ass but deep inside I'm not feeling it. Realized is not what I wanted. Maybe It's just the fact i had to cut a portion of my stock bumper . Just a heads up for those planning to go with this bumper really think about what you want before you start cutting. Think about 10xs! I regret it a bit but no turning back unless anybody in Central California wants to trade their cement grey stock for mine
    lol.

Yeah I realized after the fact I don't plan on adding a winch maybe just a Light bar. But didn't need a 600 dollar bumper for that. And I know bummer I would have been willing my loss someone else's gain!

Looks good to me. Its so stock I missed it at first glance. I'd cut off the bull bar portion and weld in plates to cover the holes, personally. But that's just me. I say give it a few more weeks before making any rash decisions.

I think it looks great. Looks like you cut it perfectly. Adds a more aggressive look to the front end, along with mounts for lights and a winch, which you can always add later. I vote to keep it.

I went with their complete bumper. Regretted it for about 30 minutes. But mostly because of the cutting. I absolutely love it!

Yeah I considered swaping somebody with a stock cement grey. I'm certain it looks good but I just feel unhappy with it.

Don't worry...be happy....the fit and product looks good.

With regards to the cut edge on your OEM bumper; here is a product I use to trim an edge when working in fiberglass modifications / cuts where I may have a rough or exposed edge. Comes in different sizes. The link is for reference. Found it on blue Scamazon.

    $US 0.02

It does feel like it goes against nature to cut your stock bumper but worse case you can buy a new one or get one from the yard. Most likely you won't think of it negatively after a bit. Mine was not cut perfectly and it has a gap - not ideal but after sitting with it for a few weeks I love it and the gap doesn't matter.

Looks great in my opinion! Is it just that you had to cut the bumper or is there something about it that you don’t like?

Yours look good. I would not worry about it. or you can go on to OfferUp, it’s easy sells.
that’s why I bought a DV8 bumper, which it don’t need be cut. You will get used to it.
Only problem is I can’t really want mount a winch if you want it to.

You can order the front bumper cover, for 125 bucks or so. I was going to buy an after market cover and use that to cut for my desert bumper. Since my factory bumper had some nicks and dings on it anyways I decided just to use it. I have everything except the bumper skin stored up in the garage attic in case I want to return the truck to stock.

I love those type bumpers, but I understand your dilemma. It has always puzzled me how there’s so many similar style bumpers, but they ALL require cutting. Seems like one of them would’ve developed one by now that just requires removal of that center valance. For both, ease of install as well as being able to return it back to stock. Maybe a business play as well? If it requires you to do all that, you’re typically stuck with it. Less likely to have people reversing the process, therefore nearly no used ones for sale floating around. I’m sure that has very little, if anything, to do with it. Just thinking out loud.

I’m in the same boat. I love the look of these bumpers, but hate to cut on a new truck. I think the Warn bumper is the only one that doesn’t require cutting, but I’m not a fan of that one. The Victory 4x4 bumper seems to require the least amount of cutting. I actually think you can take it back to stock if need be.
