    Good Afternoon,

    Looking to change my 2004 original radio, would like to upgrade with a blue-tooth and rear camera.

    Is there a replacement without major wiring or major adaptation to the middle dash?

    Welcome to TW! :hattip::wave:

    You can buy a Toyota-specific wiring harness that splices to the wiring harness of whatever brand HU you buy; At this point, the new unit will plug directly into your truck.

    You can also get dash bezel specific to your truck; I believe that 2001-2004 dashboards might be slightly different than 1995-1997 and 1998-2000 with regards to 1st Gens, but not by much.

    As for a backup camera, you make this this work by tapping directly into reverse light on your taillight or into the "reverse wire" on your gearshift. :)

    Crutchfield.com is a good place to start.

    Second the Crutchfield recommendation. Its a great place to start your research, even if you buy it elsewhere. The vehicle specific wiring harnesses are awesome, make it all a lot easier.

    I just added a Sony double din with Bluetooth and a back up camera. One of the things I like about the Sony is that you can change the background color to orange match the rest of the orange lights in the dash so it looks as close to factory as possible.

    Also I should add that I choose that one because it still has a volume knob. I didn't want to have to mess with volume buttons or touch screen while driving a bumpy truck.
