Never had an issue with this until suddenly my phone wasn't connected to I went to go check it out and both the "phone" and "Bluetooth" setup menus are shaded and you can't click on them. Google gave me nothing, the manual gave me nothing! Help! Truck is 2014.

Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is on first... if it still doesn't work.. unpair your phone from the head unit by going into your phones settings and deleting the paired device "Toyota Tacoma", then go to settings on your head unit and go to "phone" and delete your phone from the paired devices. Then click "add" and re-pair your phone with your head unit. Should fix it.

Had this happen to me a couple of weeks before Christmas. Tried all sorts of things like unpairing my phone and all that and resetting the entune system several times. Googled around and I didn't find much except people saying that it would just come back as randomly as it happened. And yeah that's exactly what happened. It just randomly came back on. So I'm guessing it's a big glitch in entune. If you don't feel like waiting around for it to decide to fix itself I would suggest taking it in to the dealership to swap it out for another entune system

Had this happen to me a month ago. Did all the things lorescar did.

Eventually it just came back on, who knows why.

Mine did this the other day

The solution turned out to be figuring out whose phone last connected to my entune, then reconnecting with that phone and deleting it from my entune after the menu opened back up

Just about had a belly full with this radio. Loss of Bluetooth just happened to my 2014. I have had a long history of the radio randomly shutting down causing loss of navigation info needing to be reset. It also really screws up listing to audio books recorded on my Android phone. I'm thinking it's time for an upgrade/change.
Any recommendations for a new plug and play system giving the same features as the OEM Navigation, backup camera, etc. I have the JBL speaker system. Any help will be appreciated

Sounds like you need an Entunes software update.

It had been awhile since I turned to this forum for help. The download link from ENZO99 and the prompt from Brianx1001 proved very helpful. I had little expectation that the update would help …..but, I down loaded the software to a thumb drive ( a major accomplishment given my computer skills) and followed the download instructions to load it into my system. after about 8 minutes the screen said...."UPDATE NOT COMPATIBLE" and I said "OF COURSE IT'S NOT" SOOOO....what the hell, I gave it another shot. This time it went thru, my Bluetooth is restored, system is updated. It remains to be seen if this will resolve all issues and how long it will last, but.....thanx for the help. At least I am not radio shopping tonight!

Ya they had me fooled too lol, even to the point that I bought a thumb drive, until I read the fine print under the title where it says “ a multimedia system update for your vehicle is not currently available here”

    Thanks anyway :)

That’s not true, just had my 15 with no Nav updated. You can’t download it off the site, the dealer has to do it. I just had mine done and it’s just like new. No more issues.

Did you have to pay for the dealer to update your entune? Had the "Waiting for bluetooth" happen on my 2014.

My bluetooth at setup had disappeared. To get it back I did the following:
    -I followed this link: https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/getUpdates
-I put in the make, model, year and navigation (yes or no) and downloaded the recommended update online to a USB thumb drive.
-I then followed the instructions for uploading the new update.
-Took about 15 minutes and when it was done...*presto* the bluetooth at setup reappeared.
