Anyone use this to control a valve cover leak? Did it work?

Why would you want to pour some goop in your engine?

I mean if it stops leaks (oil flow) at the valve covers, how do you know it's not stopping up other oil passages?

    Just replace the gaskets.

True. That’s one good reason I’ve been very skeptical about this product.

    Maybe just fix the leak...

Any of those "stop leak" type products do more harm than good. All they do is decrease oil flow everywhere else which CAN'T be good. And that's if they do anything to stop a leak in the first place.

all these so called products to stop leak are rubbish. They do not solve problems. They may stop leaks for a while but you will still end up having to fix the problem. So don't waste your time (and money) and fix the problem now

Also, they do more harm that good (they'll end up clogging your radiator, engine, transmission, or whatever system you use it on), so another reason to not waste your money and time with these products

Never heard of someone wanting to use stop leak on such an easily replaced gasket.
Usually it's when the rear main goes...

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Try a high mileage oil instead, they're supposed to contain seal conditioners that swell worn and cracked seals to stop leaking. I personally would just fix it right and be done with it. Never use additives that may hinder the performance of the engine oil, it could cost you an engine! Stop leak anything is snake oil, the stuff they use in radiators gums them up and causes overheating, I know this from experience!
