I need to replace my blower motor I think (makes a squealing noise when HVAC is on). I looked on Rock Auto and there are 5 options ranging from 26.79 to 45.79. The brands are GPD, UAC, SKP, Four Seasons, and TYC. Is one of these a higher quality manufacturer of aftermarket parts than the others?

I also was looking into this again. I replaced mine a couple years ago and even when it was new it had a squeal on any setting besides low. I replaced only the motor and reused the fan. Since then I've talked to my roommate who has been a professional mechanic for nearly 30 years and he told me that he always recommends getting a blower motor with the fan already attached. His reasoning is that the 2 are balanced together from the factory and will be quieter and more durable.

Whenever I'm purchasing replacement parts, I try to go OEM. If that's not available or not feasible, I generally pick whatever brand offers the best warranty. At the end of the day, if you research long enough, there's going to be bad and good reviews floating all around when it comes aftermarket replacement parts.

For the OEM part, I came up with this:

    https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__...ER-BLOWER---WITH-FAN/63366091/8710304030.html

At $223.46 that seems pretty expensive, but maybe there is a better source for OEM parts?

Sometimes, the noise is just from the debris that accumulates down there over the years. I found lots of twigs in mine. If you're budget minded, before ordering a replacement, do a remove-clean-reinstall to see if it fixes the issue.

Ya'll gonna give me the evil eye for this one...I replaced mine with an internet purchase. Costed maybe thirty bucks. Absolutely no further problem. How can anybody possibly pay $223. Makes no sense to me. Also went to parts house and the one they wanted to sell me had "made in China " on the box...go figure. Been two years now...blows like a french whore!

I paid $30 for my last one, it works great. It's a very easy job to replace it.

I heard the 4 seasons one is good. Your friend gave you good advice because trying to remove the fins to try and fix it is a real bitch. Ask me how I know. I replaced with the TYC and it made a very low whirling sound that you can hear when it is silent. But after a year of use, it went away. No issues.
