Hey yall, new to the forum, couldn't find any specific info for a 2017 Tacoma. All my turn signals and hazards quit working. They blink once and then that is it, and wont even blink once sometimes. Can't find any info on relay existence or location. Headlights work, brake lights work. Any input would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks

Just a complete shot in the dark, but does your truck factory spec bulbs?

Yes, my truck is complete factory. Only mods are one size bigger tires and a camper shell.

The turn flasher relay is integrated into the combination meter...not a separate item to be removed n replaced.

Sounds like too much resistance. You don't have led bulbs in the turn circuit and added resistors? Are you the original owner?

Does your shell have a light?
The reason we are asking all these questions is a completely stick vehicle does not have electrical problems. 99.99% of electrical issues are caused by mods.

hiPSI, it does have a light. The shell has been on my truck for 4 years with no issues, but I suppose it is worth looking in to! Shouldn't be hard to eliminate it as a culprit.

I am the original owner as well.

Oh hell, so it's the whole instrument cluster? Everything else in the truck is acting normal. So I'll start with disconnecting my camper shell wiring. After that, idk what I will chase if it doesnt work.

You’re right! The chassis T harness to power my shell lights got a little melted spot and shorted out. Removed it from the factory harness and the flashers all work. Much appreciated all!!

That's curious that it's been installed for so long and just went bad. Were you able to locate the short that caused the harness to melt?

Apparently LEER had a recall on harnesses. I never got contacted. It finally got enough heat built up and failed

Electrical mods usually work... or not.
However I have been around long enough to see a wire take years to rub through or potted controls degrade. But most of the time it's a add on or a mod. OEM automakers test for years to get wiring correct because of liability.
