    Hey Y'all,

I've been dealing with blinker problems for the past two years. In the mornings my blinkers would never work, but by the afternoon they would work fine. I assumed it had something to do with the humidity/moisture.

I brought my truck to the Toyota dealership and they looked at it for a week and could not find a problem.

This weekend my truck's blinkers didn't even turn on in the afternoon, so I started checking relays and fuses. I turned on my caution lights and they worked. Then I tried my blinkers and they started working.

This morning I hop in my truck to head to work. I turn on my blinkers and they don't work. I hit the button for the caution lights and they turned on. I turned them off and hit my blinkers and they worked.

Any idea of what the problem could be?

Could be a week flasher unit. Kinda hard to get at, from what I've heard. It is attached to the inside fuse box behind the dash near the driver's left knee.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
All of the wiring for turn signals passes through the hazard button, so it's possible there is a loose connection there. More likely that you have a weak flasher unit and the higher amperage draw of the 4 flashers being on kicked it into gear for a bit.

I had a similar problem. Turned out my hazard button was stuck half way in between on and off. Pulled it out and everything is good now.

Yup! Same deal here. I noticed too that if you press the hazards half way down, it activates the either the left or right turn signal. Wierd.

I had the some problem on my 04 Tacoma , after trying everything I found out That the problem was that taillights were filled with moisture and the connections on the bulbs were rusty and contact was weak or wasn't happening , I replaced bulbs sanded the connections with a pick and sand paper, used a lot of dialectic grease since I didn't want to buy new taillights , fixed the problem
