I'm going to get a 2.7l, Access cab, 4x4, manual transmission with the SR package. I'm going to have to go 200+ miles to find one as they aren't common in my area.

What I need help with is why some SR's have a black plastic bumper and others have the color matched bumper. I prefer the color matched, but not the black alloy wheels. Do they both come as part of the SR package?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm in North Carolina. The dealer said there were none in the South East region. I'm afraid manual transmissions are on the way out :(

The black plastic bumpers come with the utility package which deletes the rear seats, rear speakers, sliding window, and gives black plastic mirror covers, door handles etc. It also saves $1715.

You can, in theory, get the SR, not utility package, without the black alloys, but with the convenience package (+$480 includes cruise and keyless entry), however, they only seem to exist in 4x2. The two most common choices you will see on lots in an SR 4x4 AC MT are utility package (-$1715) and convenience package with alloys (+$915). SR without any options I have also seen, but they seem to be less common, at least where I am. I went with the utility package in black. No one seems to notice the black bumpers with the black truck.

There were plenty of SR 4x4 AC MTs available on cars.com when I looked in the mid-Atlantic. They don't last, but seem to be a stock order for a number of dealers. Koons in VA/MD had some of them them, a bunch of dealers in PA had them, and the dealers in Delaware had one or two.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for.

Do you think the dealer would be able to change out the black alloy wheels before I purchase it, or is that something I would have to do on my own?

What do you want? Steel wheels? Probably just better buying a set of what you want on the second hand market and selling the black SR alloys (which seem to be very popular).
