    i have a 2018 Trd off road with the 16 inch stock wheels, I want to black out the shinny part only any suggestions.

    If you want something permanent you’ll have to get them sandblasted and powder coated and hope the sandblast isn’t really corse or it’ll look like shit. If you want to do something at home you can tape it off and plastidip it but that’ll probably look like shit.

    There is someone in the for sale section that makes vinyl overlays for the shinny bits. You could also plastidip.

    just get new wheels you won't be happy in the long run with vinyl or plastidip it looks gaudy

    I did the vinyl because I had other mods I wanted to put my money towards until my tires die (they're at like 50% now). It's not the most fantastic mod, but def will tide me over until I can snag some of the 17" TRD rims.

    Wasn't my favorite mod :) but that's partly because I'm not as OCD about this stuff as I should be (so if you look super close there are some ridges and bumps), and it was hella cold in Utah the day I decided to do it. It took a couple hours with a heat gun and some gloves and stuff. It wasn't HARD though, that's for sure.

    I know there are vendors on here that sell them, but I got mine before I was really a part of TW...
