Does anyone know how much the difference would be between the Black Book & NADA trade in value of a 2015 DCSB Sport 4×4? Local dealer sent a letter offering Black Book plus 20%.

Those dealer letters are hoaxy, just a way to get you into a new more expensive truck.

The opinion is that all those 'offers' hit the recycle bin.

Curious too. Did it say 'black book' + 20% or 'up to black book + 20%'? And what did the small print say about mileage, damage, etc.?

IE you did not receive a 'firm offer', you received a 'come see us' letter that smelled nice.

Here is an article on how the various valuations compare and are used. https://www.autoblog.com/article/best-blue-book/

not my 1st rodeo,Letter went straight to the shredder (been getting them for yrs from all the different manufacturers) . Was just curious what the difference would be in the value when you compare the 3 books and which one would give you the real world value.

I think it's unreasonable to expect people to be experts by their second rodeo....

If we are talking "average" vehicles (not specialty, limited availability, etc.), I generally find Edmunds TMV to be a good market guide on their used side.

It was just a joke. You mentioned it wasn’t your first rodeo, so “presumably”, you’d know everything by your second rodeo, and that’s a lot of pressure.
