TLDW summary....Toyota built a vehicle for the mall that is not a race car.

It may share the same power plant as the Tacoma but my truck has zero problems hitting 80 or 90 getting on the freeway.

It's the naming, they just couldnt help themselves and named a prado LC without it being a real LC.

It basically has no purpose. The reason we didnt have prado was because we had 4runner (which has been prado for decades)

I hate the grill, I hate the power delivery, tacomas feel peppy with the hybrid, the LC250 does not.

I'm hoping the 4runner is better in every way, but its barely going to be different.

Strange, I feel my LC is plenty peppy, certainly way more than my 2023 3.5 Taco was by a good margin. Driving the gen. 4 Taco with hybrid feels the same overall as my LC, not much difference. Granted the LC is about 3-400 pounds heavier I think(depending on model, of course). So far after four months or so with the LC, I find very little to complain about overall.

Another thing I really do not understand, mainly with all of these “reviewer/car experts”, is the angst they seem to pile on the LC. Who cares, LC, Prado, shit box, whatever one wants to call it, it is still a pretty nice vehicle, and certainly fills quite a few people’s needs or wants, including my own. I dumped my 2023 DCLB TRD OR for one, something I didn’t take too lightly, especially when my previous Taco did almost 14 years of fine service.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
Poor build quality and using a storied name for this overpriced joke.
