Thanks for the thumbs up on the post. I like being detailed :hattip:

VERY little water has gotten into the bed during heavy down pours of rain or truck washes. Winter weather doesn't seem to effect any operation that I can find

The lack of negative reviews was suspicious to me at first, but honestly I think it’s because nobody has heard of these guys. I have no affiliation to their company, just wanted to share info to other shoppers out there of a potential smart buy

The shipping address on the website only allows country code = Canada.
But hey, Canadians deserve to have something Americans can't get for a change!

Looks great and nice write up. I found these after I had ordered my truck and had already added the Toyota tri fold cover. I came very close to cancelling my order and getting one of these but with the winter we've been having I didn't want to mess around installing this in January. Lazy, I know, lol.

It was pricey but can't remember exactly. Pretty sure it was in the $1500 range. I looked at a backflip and I think it was around $1200ish but was back ordered. That's why I just said screw it and ordered the Toyota one and it showed up around the same time as the truck and was installed before I picked it up. I had a Retrax retractable cover on my F150 and it was great. Only downside was the canister that it rolled into. Was already giving up box space so couldn't afford to give up any more.

Exact reason I didnt go with one of the Retrax systems. Dont need to limit the already limited box space hahahaha

Installed one of these on my '22 Trail. Had a hell of a time getting the rails on(to the point I almost quit and thought they sent the wrong ones). But now that its on it seems like a solid cover.

Installation was pretty easy , just got to make sure all the rail bolt are loose make it easier to slide the rail in. only thing is one of the rail is slightly bented when i recieved it, so just bent it back.

I work near the Ajax location going to grab one on Thursday. I went for a visit checked it out looks to be better quality than the Bak Mk2.
    Price is excellent
    Thanks for the detailed review.
Also free installation if you pick it up. Takes them 40 minutes.

Thanks for the info, OP. I just got delivery and installed this same cover a few hours ago. Your images were very helpful.
A couple of items to note:
-it seems Bison has listened to customers and they now supply two bolt size options for installing the factory rails onto the new cleats.
-as far as mounting the new rail to the cleats, I followed the instructions and slid the cleats on FIRST. I then placed the new rail on the top edge of the bed, and then "rolled" the edge down until the cleats lined up with the original factory holes...I then tightened slightly before checking all the rubber seal was properly positioned...then I tightened everything up. No issues with alignment, seal, or trying to slide the rails down the length of the bed.

And yes, I enlisted the help of my SO to hold the cover bolts from turning while I adjusted the nut from underneath.
The only issue I have is that one of these nuts is stripped and won't let the bolt go through the end. It holds fine, but it is not tight. I've emailed Bison and expect they'll send a replacement component. Other than that....it was very easy.
    Thanks again.

Update: I notified Bison of the issue with the stripped nut and they responded within 24 hours. It took about a week for the snail-mail to get the package across the country, but they did send 2 spare nuts and all is good. The cover is snug, level, easy to use, and works as advertised. Two thumbs up.

Did you put on the weather strip? Saw a video on YouTube and the guy was saying if you don’t add the strip you lose about an inch with a gap at the tailgate?

How is everyone liking their Bison tonneau covers? I like the Bakflip MX4 but these seem to be similar at half the price.

I have one and functionally pretty happy with it when you keep in mind it’s almost half the price of the BakFlip.

It is obviously a little cheaper in quality, it’s thinner metal so after one moderate hailstorm mine dimpled all over (assume that wouldn’t happen to a BakFlip).

But if you want the functionality it definetly works as you’d expect. Had it for a year now.
