I'm replacing LCA bushings, so while they're out, I'm installing bison cam Tabs. If I understand correctly, the bison tabs limit you to 8 levels of adjustment for caster/camber, rather than the infinite, or gradual adjustment of the round tabs, is that correct? So according to the video, I should install them in the position closest to where they are now?

What threw me off is in the video he said he marks them to readjust if something moves. Is there more adjustment beyond the 8 flats?

Correct, it's not longer "infinite" adjustability. Place them in position that most closely aligns w/ the current position of the cam tab bolts so you're not way off when you go to the alignment shop. It should be pretty close. I don't have bison, but another brand and I had to make one adjustment after installation and alignment. Mark them after final alignment if you want to ensure they don't move or the bolt isn't backing out. I guess that's the only reason. Otherwise no reason.

Look at the way the hex cam is contacting the cam tab on the frame, one tiny point of contact. I wouldn't use these things personally. It's not the alignment cams that move during hard off-road use, it's the beer can thin flimsily metal Toyota used for the cam tabs that get bent.

the stock bolts are expensive and allow for losing alignment during an off road trip or knock flipping them.
bison off road is meant to *try* and prevent that by not being circular.
The tabs can also bend and products exist for that such as
    -Marlin crawler LCA gussets
    -total chaos cam tabs
    and who knows what else

JD Fab lower pivot arms replaces the whole thing and claims to hold it in position stronger
all of these products vary in price point
what you choose is up to you

I wouldn’t use those things. If I was worried about losing my alignment I’d throw on some tack welds or drill I small hole through the lobe and tab for a pin to hold it in place

Just mark the tabs on the frame. If it gets knocked out loosen and put back where they were.
