I just haven't seen them on any Tacoma other than Bilsteins and wonder if they are any out there. I know they're fairly new

Because for 3300 (per Headstrong), you can have Kings all around and $800 to spare vs 8112/8100s. Plus the rears are bypasses and that freaks a lot of people out, between the tuning and the clicking sound.

That's some WAY serious hardware for the type of stuff most TW people do.

Yeah that’s true , I guess for me getting a super good deal on it I’m saving like $1.5k cause buying direct at cost for everything has saved me a pretty penny and then some but yeah that’s true the bypass is a lot more than most people do especially in the rear but I guess I’ll be the first in tw with em and share the experience from start to finish

@TacoBoone , since you’re already doing this, why not replace the needle bearing with ecgs bushing. Doing it right the first time

Since I'm running a small steel front bumper and winch in the front,
and have sliders, steel rear bumper.

I went with the 650Lbs springs, set it back to the original factory settings (1.5" lift).

If you are not going with heavier front springs, they are all assembled and pre-set to 1,5, just bolt them on.
Step by step instructions comes with it, and spanners to adjust height. (can adjust height without a spring compressor) and the sway bar relocation brackets.

For the rear I with with the Icon Rxt full leaf packs, set to stage one (it comes with an extra leaf so it has 3 weight settings by adding the extra leaf in different positions) .

Stage 1 gave me 1.75" lift from stock in the back.

Icon, Deaver and Alcan all make full rear leaf sets or AAL for the Tacoma, look at those before Dakars.

You're better off to ditch the factory leafs.

Do yourself a favor and coat the reservoirs with high heat clear pain and the rear shock bodies.
The Zinc coating tarnishes and corrodes real easy.

You will not believe the improvement in the ride, it will be like a whole new truck.

They need a little bit to break in at first, but then become much smoother.

I watch vehicles in front of me bounce around, and it's not even an event for me.
    Nice and smooth.

You'll see what they mean when they say that you don't need to add external bumpstops even in extreme conditions.

You'll also realize how really bad the factory suspension was once you have these on.

I'm really liking my 8100's. Just waiting on the 8112's to come in.

I am running mine with Deaver U402 Stage 1 leafs. Also have 8112’s upfront. I absolutely love mine. The faster and harder you push these the more impressed you will be. 5FA46F90-C92D-4CC4-9D2A-47EB9757D2EE.jpg35D6EE94-C58F-4425-A9E7-7718BBA34EC5.jpg

That guy is so full of shit. I spent more than 15 minutes (like 4 times) just looking for the 14mm socket that I had in my hand 10 seconds ago.

Fact. Like on those old hot rod garage shows when they just casually rebuilt a motor in like 5 mins, using no less than $50,000 in tools. No rust, or snapped studs, or in a garage with an OAT of 110* F

Just installed 8112/8100 on my '15 several weeks ago. Easy install. Did SPC UCAs as well. Also easy install. Not sure what everyone complains about the bolt for...?

I'd definitely recommend the SPC UCA setup. I'm only lifted about 2" but i like the adjustability for sure, needed it on my truck to prevent rubbing.

I have a custom Alcan leaf pack.

Ride quality is night and day. There's a ~100-mile break-in period, but after that they are awesome. Not super sensitive to small stuff - air down for that - but excellent on mid- to large-sized hits.

The most difficult part of the entire process was the three alignment shops I had to take it to before I ended up with a quality alignment.

    You're going to dig them.

Yeah, they must have some really lucky pulls. I also like the "we'll just run over and make a quick bracket on the CNC, just like you can do at home" type things.

See i'm running a very similar set up to what you have. Front Bumper the only difference mines a year older and a shade lighter what springs are you running in the front by chance ? on the 650# springs how does that ride are you on the stiffer side or softer side cause the springs out the factory are 600# no ?

Those things are so FOS I swear for if its a one man job its instantly a tad bit longer cause of looking for all the correct tools and never reading the directions 100% through. And the occasional busted knuckle

Any reccomendation on AAL or Full leaf swaps. Best company and company to stay away from?

IMO I would go with Deaver Expedition or Icon RXT full leaf packs. Dakar’s have a known design flaw where one of the leafs is too long and binds in Tacoma hanger.

I'll second this opinion. I've got RXT and i love them, esp for the price.

Correct from Bilstein they come with the 600# springs,

I had the 650# springs on with just the sliders, and the Warn Semi-Hidden winch bumper (80Lbs).
And they felt a stiff, (still 1000x better than the stock Sport suspension though)
until I added the X20 winch into the bumper. (67 Lbs).
Then they were back in the "sweet spot"

So unless you have over 100Lbs added to the front, the 600Lb stock springs should be fine.

    100-200lbs go with 650#

Oh you're gonna be so amazed when you first drive away on these,
I was saying "Holy Shit what a difference" before I had even left the parking lot.
Giggling like a schoolgirl jumping the railway tracks....
Seeing people in front of me catapult out of a pot hole, that I didn't even notice going over. ...
My sister drives a Cadillac and she commented how smooth my truck was. :)

I like these much more than Kings.
(can you hear the Tacomaworld Gasps! )
