Does anyone know what the biggest tire you can run on the 4Runner TRD PRO wheels with a 3 inch lift or in the 3rd gen case a 2 inch lift.
Biggest tire that won't rub with the wheels with 3inch lift?
Anyone know if that wheel will clear 285/70/17 without rubbing with a lift?
What is the offset of the trd wheel?

Sorry if this has been answered already. I tried looking but couldn't find a direct answer. I see a lot of people running 265/70/17 but that's without a lift.

^^ yes. You can run certain 285/70/17 with minimal rubbing on stock suspension, depends on the tire and alignment.

Just a heads up…I have the trd pro rims on 270/65/17's and literally 100% of the people here on this forum said it wouldnt rub. Well, mine rub every time i hit a bump on a 3/4 turn. I just hope it doesn't wear out my tires.

Will 285/70/17 ko2 tires rub on TRD pro wheels with a lift?

The TRD Pro wheels are 17"x7", 285/70/17 KO2s should be mounted on wheels with a width of 7.5" to 9"

I'm running TRD pro wheels with BFG KO2 285 70/r17's and Icon stage III 2" lift. No rub.

When I put 1.5" spydertrax spacers on I got a little rub on the body mount. Tomorrow I'm going to get the alignment adjusted to positive caster by 1 or 2 degrees more. This should fix it but if it doesn't I'll have to get the cab mount chop (CMC). Hope that helps.

So I guess you can mount 285s on the TRD pro wheels. Would they run a lot without the spacers? Looks like the best option to avoid spacers is different wheels or just stick to the 265 tire size.
    BTW nice truck. Looks great!

I believe the FN FX Pro wheels are similar to the 4Runner TRD Pro wheels and they are 17x8 instead of 17x7.

Yea I've seen those. They look good also. Thanks. I think they also have the right offset so you don't need spacer which is a plus.

285's on TRDs is fine. Not sure what you mean by "run a lot"? If you get a different wheel with backspace equivalent to 1.5" spacers it might still rub with 285's.

    Thanks.

Without spacers there is zero rubbing. I chose to put spacers on for a little wider and aggressive stance.

Same here. Hits the top of the stock mudguard. Doesn't seem too hard, but I'll end up leveling with 5100s up front, which may fix it.

You can mount 285s on a 7" rim but every tire manufacturer out there recommends against it. I, for one, would trust the engineers at BF Goodrich or Goodyear before some dude on the internet. As @sunshinetaco said the FN FX Pro wheel is a great alternative, it's cheaper, comes with center caps, is wider, has multiple color options and the customer service form FN is amazing. At the end of the day you need to realize that everyone here has biases and just because someone has hundreds of posts that doesn't make them an expert.
