These are the wheels on my SR5 currently. They have 245/75/16 tires on them. I asked the dealership what are my options for upgrades on my current stock SR5 wheels and he said biggest I could do is a 265/70/16 to avoid rub. I am having the TRD lift kit installed as well speak.

Update: rep just told me he can put some 285/70/16s on the truck and was going to give me some options later today when I come back to pick up my truck from them.

Rep just msged me again and said he found some 235/85/16s that will fit these tirrs. I have no seen a single person say they have 235/85/16s since I joined this forum. But this is their dimensions compared to my 245/75/16s currently

Not sure If this is the best option but I do like ko2s

My dealership said that 265,/75/16 nfg ko2s won't fit on my rims listed above. They will rub and he won't install them. Wtf

I really don't like how skinny 235/86/16s look. What other tires are good for a wider tread and decent sidewall height?

I don't think you'll regret going 265/70/r16. SR5 wheels are the same width (atleast when I checked when I had one) as the Off-road. So you can slap 265s on with no issue and there's a huge selection.

I went 265/70/r16 Duratracs in SL.

those are barely any taller than my current 245/75/16 according to the calculator

I mainly want it taller. But it seems if I want it taller I have to sacrifice width. If I want it wider, I can't have height.

That's 100% correct. The second number is a ratio/fraction if I recall of sidewall height versus the width.

When I had the SR5, I needed more width. They looked like pizza cutters and I hated that. The duratracs were taller, but I assumed thats just variations in tire manufacturers measuring the tires.

I'm pretty sure some people fit 265/75/r16s on off-roads. I know your tire dude said no, but really that's logically the next step up.

IMG_7088.jpg IMG_7089.jpg I put Yokohama Geolandar A/Ts P245/75/R16 on my SR5. 2WD. Not lifted. A little road noise but I did some serious sound mitigation when I installed the speakers/sub/amp. I like the way they look. Good traction at the landfill too lol.

Ya I already have 245/75/16s on my sr5. I am having a trd lift installed atm and was hoping to price out some better tires to give it a more aggressive look on stock wheels. But this is turning into a giant headache

Whoops I completely ignored your comment about the lift.

I'd think 265/75/R16s would fit. I'll let someone more experienced confirm.

Sorry, didn't catch that. Yes. It's a big pain in the ass. I went to a custom tire place and they were really helpful and had huge selection. Better than dealership for sure. Good luck.

Dont go to dealership if you want custom things. This is literally the most asked questions here.

265/75/16 is the most answered things. Yes some people will tell you bigger, but I'd avoid it. If you want tall and have a modest lift, 255/85/16 is the tallest. Don't come back complaining you transmission don't like it.

Forgive me, this is my first truck and I'm learning as I go. I've had it for 3 weeks and I spend 5hrs a day on this forum

First truck that's fine, we all have a first one. I'd strongly suggest to keep it stock for a while, then change what you don't like. But changing stuff from the start you'll never know if stock was better.

What I don't like is how it sits. Stock sat too low for me. I wanted it to sit higher. I'm 6ft and I have to sit down into my tacoma when I know I've stood next to other tacomas that sat higher. That's why I got the trd lift on it and now I feel like slightly higher tires would round it out nicely. What I don't want is slimmer tires than what I already have on it, I don't like the term pizza cutters. I've seen tons of ppl on here with taller wider tires but I don't wanna pony up money for trd pro rims or 17" wheels in general. Nor do I want to cut my brand new truck... So I know I'm looking for something super specific given I can't copy paste othet ppls tires over my stock sr5 16x7 wheels. I just don't know what those magical tire #s are yet.

Been playing with the tire size calculator theory crafting diff tires based solely on dimensions

I have the same Sr5 wheels and my truck came with the same stupid dinky doughnuts yours has. I went with the Goodyear Ultraterrains in a 265/75/16

Did you have to use wheel spacers? Or literally just slapped em on the truck with no issues?
