I got 23 in a rented Yukon XL. It had the cylinder deactivation thing. I did not treat it good.

My 5.7 Tundra and my 3.4 Tacoma get the same at 80 mph.

Well this is stupid... of course, I do always like the most expensive of choices. :facepalm:Maintaining is cheaper than most it seems though. Even though I probably don't do that enough.

My 19' is better than my 17' was. Maybe the cap is helping.

Are there any major differences other than oranges to apples? Like does the Taco run 35s and the 1 T on OEM shoes? etc

If I drive the Taco like I don't care I can get 17, on the highway though, on a trip I can get 20s and have gotten 21. If I drive it like NASCAR I can get it under 13.

I've always loved tundras and Tacoma's, hard for me to like anything else. But it's just for daily life. I think they are great for work trucks cause they last so long but probably not for towing and stuff.

What gets me is crap MPG and low towing. Wish they would put a worthy motor in the thing.

I like the way they look, they are pretty reliable and have great resale. Outside of that for many things I want to do there are much better choices. :)

I think for the full size 1/2 ton market they are worth every penny. As soon as you need to tow more than 4 tons you're screwed.

We have put aluminum flatbeds on two tacoma's with HD leaf packs. They have a bulk feed chutes on the back and the two ranchers love them to do there daily feedings out of. Cost less that a 1 ton they are lower to the ground for them to get in and such.

Oh I’m not saying I don’t like them. Just saying they could be better. My hope has been now that they have more and more competition they will step up the game. Now he lace the 2 Chevy/GMs, Ranger, Nissan Frontier, Jeep Gladiator and I heard Ram is looking to bring back the Dakota soon.

Well it's perfect for me so I can't imagine driving anything else. I'd really like to get a newer one but I don't think I'll be able to with the same payments....I dunno how all that trade in with a loan still works so I get overwhelmed and never go try lol

Wait until your's is paid for and sell it outright. Then use that as a down payment. 15% off Sticker (not including tax) is great. Under 6% and walk.

I just buy a wrecked Toyota. I drive them for 200k plus miles. A salvage titled Toyota sells for the same as a clear titled Toyota when you put serious miles on them.
