    hi Guys!

Been browsing lots of methods how to haul your bicycle with Tacoma, don’t seems to see this type of bike stand onto the bed of the truck. I haul my motorcycle to track all the time, was thinking using the same idea, wheel chock, as pictured, to do the same. Any thoughts?

Nice bike. Typically if it's just my bike I just lay it down in the bed. But when it was new and I cared about keeping it spotless I'd load it "moto" style with a couple tie downs. If you've got a 3rd gen look into the tailgate covers and just load it with the front wheel over the tailgate. I tried that with my truck but I've got a first gen and the bed is really too shallow for that to work.

That seems like a pretty easy way to do it, for the longest time I used a Dakine tailgate pad and threw the bike in the bed with the forks over the tailgate. Once I get a rear bumper w/ tire swing out I'll be utilizing the Yakima spare tire bike mount.

For the wheel chock, I would just try and make my own with some 2x4's and/or small metal tubing, s*** even PVC might do the job for a prototype version.

    Goodluck

edit: sick whip by the way

The bed is not long enough to hold the bike without the tail gate down. Just purchase a head rail and through axle holder to transport your bike.

Also.... I forgot to mention the "KB Voodoo" outboard bed rail mount, pretty cool if you're trying to save bed space.

Speaking of head rail! Just bought one on eBay!!!! Couldn’t figure out why 3rd gen don’t have them. I had the 2013, it was standard!! Sigh....

I think I read somewhere the third gen oem tonnaeu covers interfere with the header rail so they didn't have it added. Toyota is trying to milk everyone on accessories anyways. I have 3 of these mounted on the header rail. Medium and Large bikes will not be completely parallel with the sides of the bed. I have to angle the rear tire to fit them with the tail gate up. I can sell you one of mine for $25 if you were interested. That's how I paid for them at Sea Otter.

I just stand it up in the bed on the drivers side and put one strap on each handle bar. Then I strap the rear wheel to a clear and leave my tailgate open.

I have been using a hitch rack lately too.

Jeez! a Dogma? With a bike that sweet, you have to make sure the rack is made of only the finest Italian materials.

I do this. Plenty of room for 3 bikes and extra storage.
