Hi guys! I’m new to the forum. I have a 15 Tacoma TRD and I bought new BFG KO2 tires and i’ve had them on the truck about 2 years now and I’ve noticed a bit of hydroplaning on wet roads. I only drive about 4,000 miles a year and they still look like new. Has anyone else had any experience with these? Thanks!

I run them on my 3/4 ton and haven’t had any issues. With 8k miles on them you should have plenty of tread left to avoid that. Mine are wore out in 2 years though.

I always ran Nitto terra Graps on my taco and 4runner, never had any issues with them either.

Never had an issue, you might want to drop your tire pressure.

KO2's have had wet weather traction issues for a while. The KO3's new design is supposed to improve on that.

Living in the PNW, a different tire might be a good choice. I run them in my 1 ton because I need a tough tire that can go the distance and handle the deep snow. We don't get the heavy rain like you all do.

I had 265/70/17 (load range C) KO2's on my '16 Tacoma, and they didn't feel dicey in the rain until around 80k miles. I ran 35 psi in the front and 31 psi in the back, rotated and balanced every 5k.

I found them great for the first winter, ok for the 2nd and not great for the 3rd. I had plenty of tread left but it’s like they got harder as the wore down a bit.
