BF Goodrich KM2 MuD Terrain driving wet hills in Seattle

    I'm interested in getting a set BF Goodrich - Mud Terrain T/A KM2
    I live in the city here in Seattle and my GF is concerned about driving the wet Seattle hills with these tires. We currently have a set of KO2's and sometimes they lose traction when wet and it can get a little sketchy. I'd love to hear from people who have KM2's and their experiences driving on wet pavement, and it would be even better if someone has experience with the difference in both tires. Thanks TW for all the help as always!!

    King 2.5 coilovers, 33s, steel bumpers and stuff.
    Personally I wouldn't run a mud terrain on a daily driver in Seattle but I wouldn't run KO2s either as they are not known for great wet weather traction. I'd consider the Wildpeak AT3W or the Ridge Grappler. Both are recognized for having good wet traction.

    I'm gonna pass on the mud terrains and get a set of Cooper st pro's. I've had the BF AT's here in Seattle for a while, and even though it's not ideal, they do pretty well. Thanks for the advice.

    2011 DCSB, TRD OR, 5100's, 885's 285/75r16 Cooper STT PROs.

    I had 2 sets of STT PRO's, covering roughly 75k miles. We just had 20 months of record rainfall. 2018 was our wettest ever on record year. They did considerably better than a set of KM2's I had on another truck (note...NOT KM3's) on wet road driving. They were extremely good at the off road portion of miles. GREAT tire. Keep 'em rotated. Often. Keep psi in a happy place. And...They'll get N.O.I.S.Y. around 20K.

    That said...I'm on KO2's now. Used to make fun of them. We did 3 LONG road trips this summer. I wanted a quiet, well mannered tire for that, with the option of selling then replacing with a mud tire once the trip was over. Bought KO2's. Will KEEP KO2's. Balance well, quiet (relative to a mud terrain), and after 6 trips off road performance I was pleased with (3 times each, at my 2 favorite trails) …. Sticking with 'em for a while.

    If/when I go back to mud tires, it will in all likelihood be another set of STT PRO's.
