What are your recommendations for wiper blades?

Is it really worth while to use New Finish on the windshield? I have been using it for years, seem to help make the rain bead up and run off easier.

I just use OEM refill wiper blades.

I'm sure there are better, but they work great for me.

For water repellent, I just use rain-X

I just use Rain-X for fluid and blade. I think there are a few different tiers of the Rain-X blades. Want to say I get the middle/OEM tier. They have worked, so never put too much thought into them.

I don't think the wipers are as critical as a glass coating, the OEM worked the same as some premium silicone wipers. I find I almost never need to run my wipers as long as you can get up to some speed. Or if it's a fine mist of a rain so the drops aren't heavy enough to slide down or up and over the roof. Even when it's a full torrential downpour doing interstate speeds the water just sheds up and over.

The longevity of the glass coating is also likely heavily impacted by how much you do use the wipers. Even the commercial products are going to get worn away if the wipers are used a lot.

One of the products I've used has been around for many years called Aquapel. Of course all the detailing brands have them too and there is something to a dedicated glass coatings that they bond better than the ones meant for paint. However the paint sealants work too, you may have to apply them more often. Some paint "coatings" are NOT great for the windshield because they'll make the wipers skip and chatter.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Use a good winder cleaner. Scrub and squeegee off. Pour Rain X (or I like Green Earth Technologies, shit) onto the winder and rub it into the glass wearing a latex glove until it dries. Allow the shit to dry thoroughly then with a very slightly damp microfiber cloth, lightly wipe a small area following immediately with a very light buff using another dry microfiber cloth ( you’re trying to leave it on not take it off, jackass). Look at that f’n shine! Now, don’t let it get wet for 24 hours to allow it to cure. Well, I guess now you can go f yourselves :p Edit: Oh and driver side blade is 5 years old and passenger blade is about 7 years old. Now, get lost… yuppie!

I just buy the oem rubber things and pulls the wipers off and replace them. Last me about two years depending on how savage the summers are. Cost like $20 bucks?

I clean my wiper blades and windshield, use Oen toyota replacement blades and coat my windshield with either rainex or at least some ceramic coating.

I've always used Rain X along with the Rain X w/w fluid.

Several coats will ensure a nice bead when moisture hits the windshield

That is smart rather than buying whole new wiper blades, where do you buy them from?

I get them from the dealership, or whoever has the OE.

OEM, but pls notice: they selling summer and winter wiper blades, replacing them in the spring (18 CAD+tax) and in fall (30 CAD+tax).
    Works just fine!

I can’t say enough great things about these wiper blades. They are awesome in every season and last at least 2 years

I'm in New Orleans so the heavy rain and baking sun takes a toll on wipers, I just get new ones from Costco every six months or so, I believe they are michelin blades, they work well enough.
