I don’t want to end up like this guy.

Can anyone tell me what high quality wheel locks fit properly in the recessed hole on my Ray10s?

All wheel locks can be easily removed with the cheapest of tools, so high quality is really just about the quality of the nut, not the lock. Gorilla work well. Also use all 6 wheel nuts as locking nuts, not just 1 on each wheel, that will slow them down a bit.

This type of socket (and many others) will take off locking nuts. ~$20

Use spline driven, most people dont carry the special socket needed with them. I have 1 on each of my wheels and has worked in the past for a friend

It is really easy to just snap the stud off that has the wheel lock. I think i could actually do it quicker then unlugging it

Forgive my ignorance here. Will any spine driven nut work down in the recessed holes on Ray10s? Thanks

So should I just park in the “safest” location I can find and keep my rifle handy?

So are wheel “locks” not worth my time?

Yes, it’s the most common type of wheel lock nut these days. This kind.

It will slow them down, or make them pick an easier target. But don’t think of them as a fool proof way to save your wheels.

Locks keep honest people honest... like everyone else said. Undo the other lugs and bend the wheel around until metal Lergy makes the bolt snap “may be” faster than using the universal socket.. or it may take enough time to get 4 wheels off that the person gets caught... never know.

The reality is that you’re gonna have the lock nut socket in the glove box or center console.

Just make sure your accessories are covered by your insurance.

The good thing about the SCS wheels is the lug nut hole is small, so it could be a pain for a thief with a crappy tool set.

The tools to remove the locking nuts work well, are the same size as normal sockets, and are easy to get. When I worked in a shop removing locking nuts was the easiest $20 we sold. Took no longer than removing a normal lug nut. I would recommend good insurance instead of the locks.

If you plan you use the spare that came with the truck, be sure and keep six lug nuts for it.

Ray10s come with the spline lugs already.

I used Mcgards on my STi. I doubt anyone was rolling away with my wheels. Haven't looked to see if they have anything to fit SCS.
