Bought these off Amazon 3 yrs ago. Damn things are fading and paint coming off. They’re the 3D actual letters and not stickers . Best way to remove without screwing the paint up? Thanks

Heat gun or blow dryer to warm up the adhesive, then peel off. Don't go too hard with the heat though if using a gun.

You can use a heat gun or a steamer to warm up the adhesive. Then use fishing line to get behind the emblem and cut through the adhesive to pull the emblem off. Just rub the remaining adhesive off after that.

i would avoid heat gun personally... too risky with your paint there, can easily get too hot and damage paints. i will stick to my trusty ol hair dryer moving forward for most of this type of work.

Heat gun (or leave car parked outside during warmer days for a couple of hours) and fishing line

Doesnt matter, if you have some old line on hand give it a try. I just used old cheap line.

I had the same issue where the "anodizing/paint" began to peel off. I plasti-dipped mine...

10 lb hi vis braid with a 4 lb monofilament leader

kidding, use whatever you have; mono, fleuro, braid, dental floss, etc. Heat is important though to soften the adhesive up, but not too much.

if you don't plan on reusing them/don't care about damage, you could always try some plastic (not a metal flathead screwdriver please) trim removal type tool and prying (maybe against a microfiber towel or something to not scratch your paint). Next question will be how to get rid of the remaining adhesive; something like goo-gone, but go back and wash the area thoroughly and put some sort of protective layer back on it.

Those letters are the nasty metal ones that corrode, right? I read reviews that they turn to shit after a couple years or less.

Hair dryer and fishing line. Then goo-gone. Then wash/wax.
That's how I de-badged my truck. I'm sure it's the same for the inserts. Just be patient.
