When I picked up my truck the tires looked clean with a shine. These are the basic Firestone tires that come on the SR model. 900 miles and the tires have a brown haze even after washing them. What would be a good cleaner to start with? So far I have only used a brush and dawn dish soap a few times but it does not seem to be making a difference. Not looking for a shiny detail finish , just plain old clean tire until next wash.

I use a combo of Simple Green + Chemical Guys Diablo cleaning gel. I know you don’t want a shiny finish but following up with some tire protectant helps keep tire bloom from reappearing, in my experience.

Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel gel and our Signature Wheel Cleaner are amazing. I haven't found a tire yet I cant get clean with those. I would be a little careful with Purple Power or Simple Green, de-greasers can slowly eat away at the rubber over time. Even our brand.

Thank you everyone , I am guessing that Chemical Guys is the tire protectant you would use also

That is what I recommend, but then again I manage a Chemical Guys store so I may be a bit biased. But having use their products for years, yes. Tire and Trim gel is an amazing protectant and if your off road tires have that brown look just from being dirty, this gel can help bring them back to that dark black look. But we have some less expensive ones that will make them look great for weeks at a time.
