SO I HAVE A 2014 TOYOTA TACOMA PRE-RUNNER AND WANT TO LIFT THIS BAD BOY ANYWHERE FROM 4"-6"...I'M LOOKING TO GAIN SOME KNOWLEDGE ON SUSPENSION AND WHAT BRANDS ARE BEST...I'M TRYING TO DO 60 DOWN A DIRT ROAD AND FEEL LIKE I'M FLOATING

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INPUT ON HOW I SHOULD GO ABOUT DOING THIS FOR A REASONABLE PRICE?

    THANKS!

I can't speak to the ride but from what I read it keeps your factory ride. Also, please turn off cap lock so you quit YELLING at everyone.

It will float if you’re going fast enough.

Sorry guys, i have to keep my caps lock on at work for the system I work with. But from what I've seen, it looks like a pretty legit kit. I just want to make sure it's the kit that I'm going to keep for the remaining lifetime of the truck you know? I don't want to be not impressed with it and have to upgrade to a better kit. That's why I'm trying to get some knowledge on this and see what others have done to theirs

I guess money really isn't a problem, I just like to save wherever I can, but I figured nothing great comes cheap. But answering you question, I'm looking for performance overall

Basically I'm trying to make a stock pre-runner have that TRD type suspension or better. I rode in one that had custom suspension and it was like butter when he hit pot holes and everything

Maxtrac Spindles, 2.5" kings w/ 600lb springs & resis (let the spindles do the lift so you can keep the best ride quality), and then some 12" king smoothies out back with archive garage shackles and the BAMF 12" shock relocate.

Depends how hard it is haha, I've done basic stuff like coil overs, but haven't done a lift yet. I'd most likely have a shop do it. I called a shop here in the city and they quoted me about 5,000 for the complete set up (lift and suspension), but I had no idea what product they would be using, so a part of me is feeling that there is a cheaper route, I just have to find it

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Looks at ADS or Kings kits. Just be prepared to spend more then what you think you’re going to spend on a set up that “floats”

This is a huge problem, theyre probably trying to sell you a spacer and block lift for 5k like the dealerships do. I highly recommend researching lots on here and figure out what setup you want. Then try to buy it during a group buy for a better deal, and then talk to some locals on here (regional threads here) and see if anyone would be willing to help out with the install for beer or food. Lots of good folks on here that are willing to help out

Dude, you're awesome! Yea I really don't know all that much about suspension parts so that's why I decided to ask the Toyota thread

no worries brother, we all start somewhere. This is a great place for information if you can look past the few nutcases that you have carousing the internet from time to time. Dont let folks discourage you, this kinda work is definitely do-able regardless of skill set/experience. I did mine with no prior knowledge working on cars, and just basic hand tools in my driveway.
