Have I told you all lately that I love you, tacoma world fam is my life now

Just got my new ride in cement grey and I've been waiting for this moment for 10 years!!

So originally didn't want to get a step to climb in and I love the look of it without, but I have my mom who occasionally rides with me, and as a senior I'll get it installed for her... any suggestions besides a step stool or ladder for her to get in

The predator steps were ok but I don't know how helpful they would be and the look is changed minimally..... but I really don't want them ahha, show me what you all got I need ideas and inspo

    Here's my baaaaaabbbyyyy allll mine!

I have the OE oval tubes. My girl is short and needs them. So does my mom.

The best are the Toyota OEM running boards, they flow with the body without sticking out too much.

    nhn n hn hn fnghng.jpg

It's hard to find photos of them, but they basically look like this. No chrome, no big ugly bars.

I liked my Steelcraft steps. Very practical as a step, low enough and a bit offset from the truck body, 4" oval, welded ends. I sold the round OE chrome steps that came with the truck. They were too high and close to function well as a step.

Bilstein 6112 front / 5100 rear (extended) shocks, Headstrong AAL, Firestone airbags, 4.88 gears, OME Carrier bearing drop kit, Aluminum 1/4" skids (engine to transfer). Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.
    Congratulations! Nice truck and smile.

I have a small folding step stool I keep in the back for a couple family members. I typically just use a different vehicle. Perhaps one of the crafty manufacturers on TW could weld up a removal step that can be inserted and removed (not for use while driving?). I'm not a fan of the predator steps as they just look like they'd get caught with even minimal off-roading. Sliders are great but they really do not help with getting older/mobility challenged people in the truck.

My sliders, but work as steps for whoever needs them.

These are the steps I put on my taco because my wife is only 5’1”” on a good day. Easy to remove when I go 4 wheeling.

I know it's just a step here, but this picture is a great shot, makes me want another truck in this colour hahah.

Also, Great point about the high offset variation, I'm thinking if it's in line with the body it would actually be too high for its main function, now that I think about it.... Thank you thank you

I put these on my AC. Wide and deep, and your foot can't slip-thru...
Think about use, the everyday shoes you'll wear, etc as there are lots of options to consider.

I was supposed to be tall, good looking and rich but the factory messed up so getting in and out was an adventure for me.
These steps are fabulous for me.

Nice truck by the way -

    Predator steps vs all others:

    20211222_152934.jpg

lol. JK. There is a version that looks like the predator steps but is more minimal and they look and function great. Maybe someone will share them after my outburst.

Stay away from the slider crowd. They are a bunch of TW degenerates ;)

Aww shucks thank you hehehe Ive been giddy for days and sheepishly blush everytime I see him through a window or get near, and YES I say hi to my taco every ride :D .

I thought the same for the predator steps and I'm going to hit some trails next weekend, honestly I wouldnt use them myself so I feel like they'd get in the way and my shin would bash into it knowing me!

Step stool is what I ordered with a handle bar which is removable, hopefully until I can commit to one it'll do the trick.

Same I had to go to a different state to pick mine up because I was set on cement while every dealer wanted to sell me whatever color they had on the lot. I wasn’t going to settle for some random color.
