Best spring compressor for our coils?

    I have the SPC's. I've used them about 5 or so times on my truck and friends trucks. They work as advertised and I've never felt unsafe using them.

    They're a little tough to get the fingers in and out of a preloaded coil, but assuming you don't compress the coil too tight, it's not a problem. I've also used them with the shocks still mounted on the truck to change the preload on 700 lb coils. It was a tight fit and probably easier to just pull the coilover off and do it on a bench.

    I have no experience with the Eastwood design, but their tools are typically high quality. I do think you may have trouble fitting the plates between the coils on a heavy spring.

    Ultimately, the best compressor is a wall mounted one.
