What would you guys suggest? I’ve held out on the rack for a long time and finally want to make it happen!

depends what you are looking for function wise. Light bar? 360 degree lighting pods? No lights?

If you're looking to save some money and have already held out this long... Why not just keep holding until something pops up on here?

I got my victory 4x4 rack used from a member on here and have been quite happy with it.

Really just want to mount a few items for long trips and possibly some lights though I hear they may blind you on trails at night. As bad as it sounds, I also want it for the look! Lol

Few questions to help you here.
1: How fast are you planning to drive on trials that you need to see 3 miles ahead with a 50 inch light bar? A simple set of ditch lights with your headlights will give you just as much visibility.
2: What kind items are we talking about? are they cases, are they gas cans? are they things that could go in the bed?
3: I understand the look thing, if you want it for looks then I suggest saving your money and get the one that looks the best to you.

I personally went with the OEM roof rack. I dont use it very often, maybe 3-4 times a year, so being able to stow the cross bars in the rack was a huge plus for me. But I also dont put things on the roof rack that could be put in the bed. I use it mainly to hold fishing rods when the bed has kayaks in it.

NONE. The bed makes a perfect spot for putting stuff in…and no wind noise.

I wanted mine for the looks too, haha. What's your budget? I went with the Cali Raised LED Premium Rack with a full light package, which cost about $1600. So a bit on the pricey side, but that's because I have a dual function front light bar with white and amber, and 2 pods on each side / on the back. It also has a front flap that is adjustable by hand to move up or down to hide the light bar when not in use to help with aerodynamics. Looks great on the truck, and starts around $800 for the basic one. I'd say go to their website and build it how you want to price it out.

Or you can go with the popular option of Prinsu which range from about $650-750 without lights.

    Here's mine:

That’s a nice rack. Lol pricey, I just want to mount gas can and some traction boards etc really like that light setup though. Bad ass that u can conceal that light bar, may have to build my own!

Prinsu or a Martin Rack are still the best looking ones out there, others are too bulky and chunky looking, in my opinion.

Maybe go with a Prinsu, since it should suit your needs and price range. I think they come with a cutout for a light bar if you want to add one when you buy it or sometime in the future.

This question gets asked a lot here and it really comes down to what you need it for. I went OEM because I might carry something long and light like a ladder a few times a year and I really like that the cross bars store inline with the vehicle when not in use. But if you truly need robust roof storage capabilities or just want something for cool IG pics, then look elsewhere.

Still likin' my Prinsu after 3-4 years using it.
The biggest selling point for me other than the looks is the fact that the Prinsu is aluminum, so...light weight and no rust ever.
Some of the others are cheaper though.
I do like the UpTop Overland racks, but those are even more expensive.

I like "The Grand Teton" by Sherpa...more so than the Prinsu because of the mounting points.

My choice is based on looks...to be honest. I may or may not use it...but it's there if I need it. (That's the reasoning I gave my wife; lol!)

I also want the Diamondback Tonneau cover...so I have some expensive taste for my Sport.

EDIT: Both items have not been purchased as of yet.
