I also use Ancra straps - the ones with the built-in soft tie. Ancra makes really good stuff and they will last a lifetime.

They can be readily found on Amazon...

Another handy strap is the Rok Strap brand bungee cord, I use them on my motorcycle to secure my tool pouch or for extra security when I use the a tail pack that has built in bungees. They come in different strengths and lengths, are adjustable, they may cost a bit more but just like an Ancra brand strap they seem to work well. When you're hauling something expensive or a load that requires the tailgate to be down, you don't want to skimp on a budget tie down, the extra cost of a quality product is nothing if you lose an item or if piece of furniture goes flying out the back of your truck and someone hits it.

I bought a set of 4 SnapOn straps, from Sam's. they are nice. The handle has rubber, which makes it comfortable to really crank down on the ratchet. the strab itself is a nice width, which prevents the strap from digging into whatever it is you are strapping down.
They were, like, $19.99, or something like that.

Costco and Sam's Club usually carry a nice 4 pack for like $22. they are medium size, not too big not too small. I have strapped cars with them. during Christmas time home Depot has a nice little 8 pack of ratchet tie downs for $10!.

I personally like to have some heavy duty 3" wide freight straps, and a series of light duty 1"wide "throw away" ratchet straps.

I use 3" wide nylon straps made for strapping down cars and trucks for everything. I've had too many of those cheap ones break from abrasion or Chinese metal.

Adding d-rings in the bed bolts adds strong tie down points. first mod I did to each of the three Tacomas I've owned. the dodge rings are plug and play.

I honestly buy the cheapest because they all break or tear so I gave up.

If I had to recommend some, try to find some Air Force Cargo straps, they are 5k lb rated and rarely break. Zync plated I believe but if they can handle air drops, mud drags and general abuse they will work for you.

    EDIT:

    Found them for you.

Fox 2.5 extended remote w/total chaos uppers up front. Fox 2.0 extended remote w/ deaver leafs in rear. ECGS swap. 285/75/16 wild peaks

We use these at work, they work great! Just remember to WD-40 the ratchet mechanism to prevent corrosion for longevity.

Those work well. I use to strap down heavy duty pallets of 8" Howitzer rounds with these in the back of a M520 Goer.

Wish they made them in 10' lengths. I know you can cut them off!

I have "snap on" ones that have red straps, not yellow. And yellow ones branded good year. obviously these aren't real snap on products just licensed under their name. like the bullshit little snap on China generator. Maybe after some recalls Snap On will reconsider their business model.
