Best place to buy Tacoma TRD Pro Grille? Raptor Lights worth it?

Hey guys,
Whats the best place to buy a Tacoma TRD Pro Grille with red letters + tss sensor garnish? and do you think that raptor lights are worth it? I was looking at an installation video on youtube today and they dont look very bright and im worried that by running a cable from the lights to the fuse box that somehow moisture and water will get into the fuse box and cause problems later on so its probably better to avoid raptor lights.



The TRD Pro Grille though still looks better than the OEM grille that came with my Tacoma and it looks easier to clean.

Raptor lights don’t do anything practical, so they will only be “worth it” if you enjoy the look of them. Clearly a lot of people do.

 

I got mine from empyreoffroad (link mentioned above) and I haven't had any issues with mine. I've probably had it for about 6 months now.

 

I bought a faux grill and just realized one of the clips is broken. Will that be an issue after installation or nah?

 

Are raptor lights worth what? They're purely aesthetic and a design rip off from Ford that somehow inbred itself into Tacoma culture.

They're worth it if you want them, but they have zero actual value.

 

I think raptor lights are silly, but a lot of people like them. Go for it if it appeals to you.

 

I just bought one for cartrimhome.com it’s supposed to be coming Wednesday. I’ll update with the quality then.

With the TSS garnish it’s $120.

The 4Runner guys supposedly have used them a bunch.
Side note: their SSL certificate just expired. I would wait for them to fix that before giving any information on the site. I would also pay with PayPal to be safe.

I bought this package and to this date no issues at all. I did have to shim the TSS radar with 2 washers on the top screw but haven't had no issues at all.

 

That’s where I got mine. A little disappointed with the finish. There’s a few off cuts in the grill and one clip is broken. Hoping get it installed this week. I’ll update with photos

Actually turned out pretty nice. No tss sensor errors. Fairly easy install other than me not knowing how to pull the grill offfand remove the clips lol

 

Thats good, you had me worried lol. I figured for $100 it was worth the chance. I bet all the aftermarket ones are made in the same factory anyway.

The red lettering looks cool on the truck!

 

Yeah the letters come unattached so I spray painted them

 

I got mine from Taco Garage with the aftermarket garnish and am happy with it. I just installed a 2" lift all around and still no issues with the sensor.
