My Grandson is getting his Dad's 2014 Toyota. For Christmas he wants a new grill and headlights. Not looking to use Ebay, Carparts.com looks reliable or Truck Parts. Looking for reviews on any others you have done business with. Been out of the loop for a few years and anything I have ordered took 3-4 months to come in. Be easy guys, I am old.

A lot of everything is backordered. It depends on what you are trying to purchase. Amazon has an easy return policy. 4WheelParts is a national. For more specialized stuff look at the vendor list on the left of the TW home page.

There are several different grilles available. If the truck currently has a default chrome bezel, you can buy a color matching one from eBay seller royalsouthtoyota (only suggesting them as I have used them, it's true factory parts). If he wants only the center insert to look like the "Pro" or one with raptor lights to look like an ugly Ford (just kidding everyone, trolls don't get at me) you can find them from several aftermarket places or shell out $$$ for a Toyota OE version. There are also several TacomaWorld members that do custom work if you search around a bit.

Headlights go factory. Part numbers and more info than you can shake a stick at in the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade thread here. The downside as mentioned above is that these are backordered everywhere due to supply issues from teh pandemic. Don't buy any aftermarket headlight housings, they are 99.999% all junk.

OEM+ on the 2nd gen Taco, is to install:
-blacked out headlights, easier to swap in than performing BHLM, affordable $50/ea DEPO on Amazon or something. Can put brighter bulbs and stronger harness
    -mesh honeycomb grill

am not sure if equivalent upgrades exist for the FJ

Be careful. We will all help spend tour money and any money your grandson has saved up. :D:D . There are so many aftermarket suppliers for cool stuff. Ie. AJT, Toytec, Tacoma Lifestyle, SDHQ, Caliraised, and on and on.

I always go to rock auto. If you want some “cool” replacements a place like stage3 motor sports will have them. I’m old inside

Regarding headlights, I’ve also heard oem is the way to go. They have better optics, cutoff, and don’t leak like aftermarket stuff will. Follow instructions in the ultimate headlight upgrade in the stickies.

Grills there’s many options. One I haven’t seen mentioned is homertaco, a member who makes custom grills.

Put up some pictures, we all enjoy ooh and ahh at others rides.
