Lots of options online, curious if anyone has had good luck going with a certain aftermarket brand. I'm aware aftermarket carpet won't fit as good, which is fine. Also possibly interested in vinyl instead of carpet as an option.

I have used stock interiors. If you are anal about the color matching perfectly, you might be disappointed. They offer samples that you can buy so that you can get it close. Even though they say 3-5 days it is usually 3 weeks before it arrives.

As said above. Stock interiors is who I used on all of my projects. It's ACC Carpet but a notable amount cheaper then buying from ACC direct. Also, if I was you I would recommend getting the carpet with Mass Backing. Its a great heat / noise reduction.

agreed on the mass backing but I do it differerntly. I buy the enrty level padding and remove it. I bought a roll of Jute carpet padding and I put that down first and cover everything, center hump, foot wells etc. It makes the carpet installation a little more difficult but I think it is just that much of a better job.

If the little bits of plastic that are on the door thresholds are broken you can buy white plastic inserts at the auto parts store that you pop in the lower door frame.

When some Woman wants carpet I tell her to go to the her favorite Carpet dealer and buy a few yards of the color.

I hate to do this so I charge $750.00 if it is cool out I can do the job in 4 to 5 hours.

I’ve used ACC each time I’ve redone carpet/flooring. RockAuto stocks it as well, which is where I got it the last two times for this vehicle. (Vinyl once, didn’t like it, switched back to carpet)

Does it go in well and look good or is it a giant hassle and look marginally better than stained factory carpet?

I don't have a lot of photos immediately on hand but it looks like brand new interior carpeting.
I like it better than factory because I went with the Essex (with mass backing) It's thick, feels good, look great, and helps deaden sound. The Essex is a 100% nylon yarn, and easy to clean.

Like anything else, if you take your time and have some patience you'll have a good outcome. It helps to use the old carpet kit as a guide on bolt holes and console cuts. The Essex with mass backing is quite thick though so it's tougher to work with because it's not as flexible as thinner carpet.
The kits are molded to the pan shape, you just have to make cuts to fit bolts, hardware, consoles etc.

Thanks. It’s worth doing for sure, I’ve been happy with it since I put in a while ago.
Also, as much as it sucks to work in summer heat, this is the kinda job that the heat helps a little.

What is this color called? I’m sure there are a hundred to choose from. It looks like a good replacement for the stock color.

    Believe it was just "Gray".
The silver was the wrong color and the charcoal was super dark.

The thing I hated with Carpet All Winter it is a Big mess goes from frozen to liquid

which held the moisture to the floor fell out one day.

if it was not for the exhaust of other vehicles
