Looking to bring back the look of my faded plastic trim pieces such as fender flares and front plastic facia that sits under the front bumper.

What's the best product to use in terms of durability? Am I better off buying the pieces new? Thanks.

I'm a college student so I found a cheap way. I bought a pack of Mr Clean majic erasers. Scrub the pieces down and it will bring back the color. It isn't permanent, but it works. As for paint, you have to find some that is meant for plastic pieces.

Krylon paint sticks to plastic. Be sure to clean the part well before spraying it.

    It's all in the prep.

For the flares I'd use: primer, krylon for plastic or rustoleum for plastic, then top off with an automotive two-part clear coat. I have a feeling that even the best prep and paint won't hold up to rock chips, etc

For the bumper valence: use Duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye or a professional bumper paint.

Would the same paint work on fender flares the same as the valence? They look like the same material.
