Obviously a nice AGM Deep Cycle will do the job with a couple wire connectors and a charger. I ran this type of setup using 2 AGMs for house batteries (2x 27m Optimas). Those two batteries had usable capacity of around 800 watts (50% capacity) at the cost of 108lbs. I believe the battery @OldSkoolArcher listed is around 67 pounds, and usable wattage of 630.

My Goal Zero 500x or Gooloo 500 have around 60% of the capacity at less than 20% of my previous system's weight. And the GZ and Gooloo have USB, Cig Ports, and a built in Inverter. Charging requires a small power supply. They even come with built in solar controllers for ease of use with Solar Panels. If I added up the weight of all the other needed components (cabling, chargers, solar controller, fuse block, cig/usb ports, etc) I bet it'd be closer to 15% the weight, and 20% the size. And only about 1% of the complication! lol.

Knowing what I know now, I would not build a house battery system using AGMs again.

One thing the Goal Zeros dont include is the 12v cig plug charger. I found this out after realizing I left behind the 12v plug for my Jackery 1000 during a two week trip to Utah. I found that the GZ's have the same size DC adapter, and are sold at Sportsmans WArehouse. Three stores didnt have the cord in stock, and when I finally convinced the store in Vernal Utah to sell me one out of the box, they were found to be an "optional accessory". Props to the lady there, though.

Yeah, you are correct. didn't have the 12v charger. I think it was another $30. Gooloo definitely came with 12v charger!

The Jackery did too. The Yeti 1000 costs nearly $450 bucks more than(what I paid for my) Jackery. Throw the plug in with the kit, GZ.

    HAHA, agreed!

Only reason I bought the GZ originally was cause I will be getting either a 1000x or 1500x in a camper I ordered. Figured I could use the accessories between them. Then I saw the gooloo pop up and bought it too. O yeah, and the 500x had to be replaced within a month of ownership, lmao. They sent me a new one with very little hassle, but still...

Jackery 1000 worked like a champ anyways. I spent three days fishing in one spot, and I didnt want to be using my battery power. So I plugged my fridge, an Iceco 63 qt, into the Jackery whilst fishing. It used about 25% of capacity for around 8 hrs. When I left, it still had around 25% remaining.

Bluetti AC200P and one or two panels to top it off on extended trips. Gas generators (even the whisper quiet ones) make noise. You're there for the outdoor experience so I would go with a solar generator like the Jackery or the Bluetti. Plenty of reviews on YT.
