We gotta find another Gunny . Use to get some great discounts . I wonder if there is a bonus in it for the guy at the parts counter ? Can you imagine getting all of Taco Worlds OEM parts orders ? They would have to keep a warehouse just for the members here

I've had good luck with prices (including shipping) Olathe Toyota and Lewis Toyota of Topeka.

your local dealer.

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but "try" to do as much as you can through your local dealer and build that relationship with them if you haven't already. For clarification, I don't mean buy everything through your dealer at their overpriced markup. Find the best deals at other dealers, then reach out to your local dealer to hopefully match it. I've sent quite a few "hey found this at ___ for $x, just wanted to see if you could get your hands on it at that price so I can keep my business with you." They're not hurting for your business or to make a deal with you, but if you've done that quite a few times and formed the relationship with one of the parts guys, that order history could be helpful in the future. I've been turned down more times than not, but at least they know I want them to get my money when I have to spend it. When they can't match it, buy it elsewhere!

I say all that for OEM parts only; in general, I say avoid dealers at all cost lol.

 

Many Toyota dealers have websites to order parts. They will have lowest shipping rates.

They are cheap if you live out in the east coast. I've priced them compared to Toyota & Scion OEM Parts | OEM Parts To You and this place is slightly cheaper than mcgeorge and they're also in San Bernardino. So a win win for you as I see you're in Monrovia, which isn't too far. Save on shipping cost

 

Lewis of Topeka for the central midwest region. McGeorge for east coast. Can't say for west coast, would need some CA/AZ/NV peeps to chime in on that.

Find the part you want online and take to you local dealer parts guy. Ask if match the price including shipping let him know if he’ll price match you’ll buy all parts from him and build that relationship. My parts guy does exactly that and I buy all my OE parts from. Good luck

 

I tried that once at our local Toyota dealer and they told me they could only price match against "local competitors/dealerships"

 

i have a truck that is pretty unique and when i bring it to a dealership, they all come out to see it. so I made a couple of friends in parts dept.

 

Darn them!!! Each dealer is different.

 

I am another one who supported my local dealer!!

Granted they are all independent so some play much better.

Reasons returns are simple if they screw up or I do. It is nice to just call and say " Can you get this?" Then hear "we will try "

Looks like you're in Monrovia which isn't too far from the dealership I listed a few post above. Prices are couple bucks lower than McGeorge on everything (so far that I've looked at). Maybe use their prices as a local dealership when going to one closer to you?

 

I had a very bad experience with joejoe on FB. I found him to be dishonest, and very unprofessional.
I highly DO NOT recommend him.
