dakars or all pro expos seem to be popular around here . it all depends on what you use your truck for and budget. I went with dakars and fox 2.0 resi for under 1,000. was gonna go with ADS 2.5 resi in the rear but they are $$. look in the suspension forum you will get plenty of reviews on everything you need to know

Dezert and trails. Want something soft so not bouncing around a lot. Plus I do some highway driving every now and then.

look into a deaver leaf pack. I ran those in a baja 1000 one year, and they preformed very well. nice soft ride and floats over chatter like bumps

    Deaver or All Pro Standard.
I run the all pros myself and they're perfect for what you're describing.
The deaver springs give you 1-1.5" of lift, the all pro standards give 3" of lift.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
I run OME Dakars and to minimize lift, removed the third leaf.
Slightly higher than stock, nice spring rate.
    Pairs nicely with Bilstein 5100.
Should have been the factory setup.

^ also a great option

OP you could even contact companies like Alcan and have leaf springs custom made to your choosing.

I've ridden in a couple trucks with dakars as they are, no leafs removed, they're actually not bad. Firmer than stock for sure but not rough. They have two overload leafs to prevent negative arch and better load carry capacity.

As those two above stated, with a leaf removed it would lower the height a bit and yield a softer ride. They'd be a great choice as well.
The leaf springs can be had for ~425 and shocks will vary depending on what you go with. Some Fox 2.0's can be had for 250-400 depending on reservoir or not. Just don't forget to add extended brake lines and u bolts.
