I am planning to switch my high beam bulb to something brighter that is not an LED. I tried searching up the forum but seems like there is no concrete answers for the high beam bulb. Just wondering what high beams are you guys running? Thanks!

High beam is a reflector style so you need to use a normal style bulb. The best bulb currently are modified h9s that are listed in the headlight thread.

Wont work for high beams, HID needs time to warm up.

What bulb are you running now on your high beams? I have the Philips H9s, made in Germany, they are 3000k and rated life is somewhere between 400-500 hours. They are bright enough for me.
I did see a post someone running Hella 2.0 H9, they are 3600K so a bit whiter, but rated life is less at 250 hours.

Don’t have to modify the H9s for high beams, only have to do that if you want to install them in your low beam projectors designed for H11 bulbs. But I think you know this, just clarifying for others who may not know.

I'm currently running the stock H9 that came with the truck and I'm running the morimoto HIDs for the low beams. Tbh I just want to change the high beam bulbs to match my low beams, I'm going to give the german H9's a shot though! Thanks!

Might want to check what manufacturer H9s you have now first, probably OSRAM but can’t be sure without checking.
    Here’s the Philips I bought:

High beams don't have to match because they're not on at the same time.

Yeah Pretty sure the H9 Philips or OSRAM halogens won’t match the HID color temps
