I'm currently using Mequiers PlastX but I don't think it really protects from UV. In my arsenal I have 303 and various waxes. What, if anything, are you guys using? I'm not into films. And I don't want a product that will screw up a new lens (new Taco).
    Thanks!

i've used Jet Seal since i got the truck 2.5 yrs ago. it's early to say, but i've used it about every 4 months or so and no fade or yellowing yet. but i wouldn't expect that for quite a while anyway. i got Jet Seal after seeing a bunch of good reviews.

Can you tell me more about PPF? Recommend a brand? Are they precut to size?

Why cant you use wax on plastic? Not trying to be a dick, just curious.

I used it on my previous truck for about 7 years and my headlights looked like glass. Im using some wax on my tacos headlights and tailights too, seems to be fine so far.

Plastic is very porous and can actually fog your lights in certain weather conditions. But this is something I picked up growing up. I just googled it myself and the general consensus says it's ok. But to me at least, I would use a headlight restoration kit and apply as needed, I would not personally used paint wax on plastic. But I don't know what's true on the internet and don't want to wager my own lights to find out. YMMV.

What happens to headlights that aren’t protected from UV?

They turn yellow due to oxidization. Can weaken the plastic and cause it to crack.

Carnuba wax works fantastic. I wax after wet sanding with high grit and plastix on aggressive wool pad with Makita rotary. Don't wetsand if your clear is still good. I would recommend spraymax 2k clearcoat after sanding rather than polish and wax.
