Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I went with what the New Napa offering was a few years ago..

The idea being I would rebuild the original ones Bought the new parts another project that was never finished.

Bivouac - I have read it is just easier to get the entire coilovers if you don't have the right press. My coils are rusted anyway so I am going the completely new route. Rear shocks are not a problem

    Did you not understand something?

I bought and installed the Napa Coil over assemblies .

The idea to rebuild the coil over assemblies removed at a later date.

No idea where you saw anything about rear shocks.

I should have made clear that I am going for the non-lifted, on road everyday driver set and I realize I will be replacing them every 50k.

Having said that, which do y'all prefer,
    Bilstein or Fox 2.5?

    4 run, 2 don't
Bilstein 4600s; may need to take them to a shop to assemble as a coilover for your fronts.

Struts do not exist for these vehicles as they are not used.

Fox 2.5 are overkill for your application.

Huge difference between those two. Especially cost.

If you don't want any lift, your spring choices are very limited. Plus you will have to put them together or have someone do it for you.

    Fox's (2.0 and 2.5) and Bilstein's ( 5100, 6112, 8112) can both be set to zero.

I've never done it before but I imagine it rides quite nice.

I would say from my experience 6112 set at zero would ride the best. But if there's no lift or true offroading, 4600 is ideal.

You cannot use 4600s on the front unless you have the factory springs

Bilstein 5100s will promise you 0 height increase but once the spring is added it will lift an inch or more. I just went through this entire nightmare on wanting the factory height. And replacing the suspension. I now have a truck with a higher front then back end.

Cland75 - I just looked online at my local napa and the cheaper coilovers do not match my truck. I did not see if the more expensive ones do

I really cant speak to these as I have no knowledge of them. I had Monroe quickstruts on mine awhile and have a friend that likes his KYBs he purchased that were preassembled. And I dont know if ANYTHING is cheap anymore honestly.

I have read some bad reviews on Moog and Monroe so trying to stay away.

I have also read reviews on Amazon product knockoffs described as top of the line but were actually Chinese junk.

So I am in between a rock and hard place.

How long did your Monroes last?

    Headers with full borla system.
I put bilstein 5100 with new factory springs and hats. Set it to stock and with new rear leafs had a normal ride height and way better then factory Trd bilsteins ride. Every now and then I get a click from the adjustable seat and snap ring but only when they get unloaded. Love the ride and feel.

I had them on my truck for 4 years around 50K It is a pain or very expensive to stay factory height once your factory front springs wear out.

You cannot purchase factory springs for my 99 you can still buy factory TRD springs for the year.
