I know there are a bunch of threads with various tunes but I was wondering what you liked the best and why?

Yeah, I would like to know exactly how good that tune is without going through 300+ pages of forums. Can someone succinctly explain what it does and how much it gives you back on a stock truck??

your truck, you do the research and you make the decision. you can ask questions, many are here to help, but for "i don't want to read the thread...", well, you're on your own with that.

OVT is the only ECU tuning solution right now.

Orange Virus is the outfit developing the tune. alpha was the initial release of the tune, it's now in beta if you can use these terms like that. shift sense is an entirely different product, is not a tune, and has nothing to do with your ecu or motor.

you need to spend time looking into this, folks here cannot learn for you. just trying to help.

ShiftSensePro is a shift controll for S mode only. Nothing more than what you could do in S mode yourself, just without having to click it.

It's your truck. Why would you trust a bunch of strangers on the internet to tell you something? Also, there is no "Best" of anything, as everyone has their own opinion on what is best. In this case, there is only one, so it is best and worst at the same time.

Finally made the connection. I thought the Stache and ole Appalachia sounded familiar.
I grew up, and folks still live in the Appalachians of NE GA.

Shiftsense = tricks your truck into thinking you're controlling S-mode gear limiter and upshifts at the proper speed to keep the truck in the power band (and prevent scenarios like lugging in 6th at 40mph). Nothing different than you could do on your own but is user friendly from what folks have said (I don't own one).
Pedal Commander = tricks your throttle to thinking you're giving it more juice than you are which helps folks feel more "power" vs. the limitations and slow response that is on the stock throttle response. We've all had that feeling of tapping the gas and nothing happening until you smash it - this device helps that.
ECT Always On Mod = For folks who never want to drive in anything but ECT PWR mode. doesn't change how ECT behaves though.
OrangeVirus = Completely rewrites much of the ECU that references throttle maps, intake/exhaust, shifting, and provides more Dyno-proven power in the midrange and much smoother driving experience overall. I personally held out for this solution and couldn't be happier!

Your truck - do the research, but for my money I feel it was a worthwhile investment!

You can reprogram your ECU for bettter shifting points / more proven power very very easily for $765.

Or you can tear apart your center counsole and install some chip thing that will shift in “S” mode so you don’t have to for like $200.

Or you can install a thing to make your pedal more sensitive. It’s if you’re too lazy to press down on the throttle.

I choose option 1 a few months ago and never looked back.
