Sorry if this has been discussed (or if this is in the wrong section)!

What are some dealers you guys recommend working with in Oregon or southern Washignton?

I am looking for a SR5 long bed 4x4 V6 (7570). I have reached out to a few, but the best price I have received is around 32,500 OTD.

    Thanks in advance!

When I got mine back in Nov 2016 (got a 2017 TRD 4x4 ShortBed MT OR), best price without dealing/haggling with douchey salespeople (*cough*gladstone*cough*), was at Beaverton Toyota.

Dealt with Tracy (guy from their online dept), and got mine for about $32k out the door with pretty much all the available packages except leather seats...

Beaverton beat all the local/close by dealers (gresham, wilsonville, gladstone, portland), and this was without haggling or the shitty "Costco Deal" (basically as long its $500 less that their advertised price, it qualifies for the "Costco Deal")...

    Good luck with search...

Thanks for the response! I reached out to Beaverton about a month ago and their price was a bit more than some other dealers. They also don't negoiate from what it sounds like. It wouldn't hurt to check in with them again though!

I went to Gladstone initially and got horrible service so I picked up and went to Broadway Toyota and had a pretty decent experience.

I bought mine in Bend at Kendall. Haggled for a while, but got a fair trade value on my WRX (6k more than another dealer offered in California) and just over invoice for my truck last year. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back there if I was in the area.

Worth noting they knew I drove 10 hours (don’t mind road trips) and still went down in price after initial phone negotiations.

    Appreciate the responses!!

I’ve been in contact with both of those dealers. Kendall of Bend was a bit lower than Broadway, but that was a few weeks back.

Both Kendall’s (Bend and Eugene) reached back out to me yesterday. Actually, quite a few dealers did. It sounds like they are more willing to negotiate. I assume this is due to the 2018’s being just around the corner.

    Again, thanks for the info!

I've heard that from another guy i talked to, i did most of my search online for what dealers had in stock that i wanted, and flat out Beaverton gave me the price that was cheaper than when i haggled with Gladstone for over 3 hrs one day after work... Prices might have changed by now it seems... =(

Yeah, it was a total sh!t show... Salesperson who was helping me was fairly new, so one of the other "managers" came up and sat down, trying to shove a TRD Pro Automatic down my throat, saying that there was no TRD OR in MT available, that those were not made... Told him that guy helping had seen one in the inventory, but "manager" flat out said i was lying... lol... Walked out shortly after, telling the new guy sorry, but his "manager" just cost him a sale...

Just drove home from Gladstone with a new TRD Off-road MT. I already knew exactly what I wanted, so I used TrueCar and a bunch of dealerships reached out to me. None of them had the exact car, but it didn't matter because they just made a dealer trade to get it. Anyway, I communicated with the online sales guy, Rey, who was super nice, and once he found the car I came in for an appointment. Our only goal as far as negotiating was to get at least what we owed on the '15 Subaru Crosstrek we were trading in. KBB value put it at 13k, but they paid it off at 15.5k. We paid full price for the truck, but in all honesty since we were financing it and the effort it would take to negotiate down like 1 or 2k was not worth it to me. The guy that did the "negotiating" yes was a totally stereotypical greaseball car salesman, but we didn't have to deal with him long. Then it turned out the finance guy was ex-Israeli military (as am I), so he got us a better rate and gave us huge discounts on the bumper-to-bumper and gap coverage. It's only my second car buying experience, so I don't have much comparison, but it was pretty painless. But that's also because I knew exactly what I wanted, didn't physically go into the dealership until I knew they could get the exact truck I wanted, and we didn't play hard-to-get we just straight up told them what we wanted and they worked with us. That was my experience.

Long story short, I live 5 miles from Beaverton Toyota. I literally saved myself $2,500 by driving to Kendall in Bend instead of purchasing from Beaverton Toyota. ($2000 less for the Taco and $500 more for my trade-in.) Also, two salesmen at Beaverton Toyota literally lied to my face which I called them out on in front of a manager.

I bought my 2015 from Lums in Warrenton. George is the manager. Good experience, good price. They kinda fucked up the whole out of state thing as far as letting me know what I had to do and when, and gave me no paperwork to do so (I drove away with no permit at all on the back window, didn't realize until later), but I figured all that out. George sent me and extra trip permit until I could get through the process.

Thanks for all of the responses!

I am sitting around 32.5k out the door for a 2017 Longbed SR5 v6 4x4 (7570) with tow package and floor mats. Corvallis and Bend were about at the same so far. That is only 8 or 9% off of MSRP. I don't feel like that is great.

I am not sure how some people are getting this model for around 31K (saw one guy on here say 29.5k ). There was a guy in Oregon that said he got his for 30.5k, but he hasnt been on tacomaworld for a while. Most dealers are saying invoice is 33k and change for this model. I am assuming they are including DPH and who knows what else.

I am hoping dealers will be more willing to negotiate once the 2018's are almost here.

Got mine from Beaverton Toyota, overall no complaints. Had to order mine because they didn’t have a MT on the lot in quicksand. Sticker was 38k and some change. They knocked about 2.6k off the MSRP when I ordered mine last November. Only annoying thing was I got it with 50 miles they used it for test drives because it was the only V6 MT on the lot.

Try Royal Moore. I was shopping during the whole recession, so maybe they were really motivated, but they did better than anything else, including the initial quote by the auto broker.
Dad just bought an F350, and I'm not sure if it's just different with domestics, the current economy, the model, or just dealer access to the internet, but we didn't really find much for deals.

Stay FAR away from Capitol Toyota in Salem!!!!!

They push really hard for a sale with little to no compromise, and the service managers rude as hell.

I ended up getting mine from Volkswagen of Salem, instead.

Capitol Toyota has had a reputation since at least the 80s. You would think someone there would change things

Well, one dealer is now at $32,388 OTD on a truck with an MSRP of $35,432. I think DMV fees are $423 so that puts this deal at about 9.7% off MSRP (I think). Getting better, but I am still looking.

You need to base your price off dealer invoice, not MSRP, when it comes to comparison. It gives a truer price
