    Hi Everyone,

I'd like to start by stating I live in Canada. This tends to prevent me from accessing the entire market of after market parts (or excessive shipping fees).

My 07 Tacoma is great, and I've had it for 5 years. I'm looking to steer away from my K&N oil filter, and towards something better. I can't seem to find a TRD CAI to fit. Hoping somebody knows where I can possible order it from.

Also, kinda looking into the AFE stage 2 dry filter CAI. Any thoughts?

Afe is my personal favorite if it wasn't for the loud noise it produces. That's why I ended up a snorkel instead :)

IMO spend your money on something else. A CAI isnt going to do anything productive.

Save your money a just put in a afe dry drop in filter. Your factory intake is a true cai. If you must have one then afe or trd but they're not cheap

Another vote for an AFE Pro Dry and call it a day. CAI's are a waste of money for the minimal returns and added risks - this is one area where you'll have a tough time doing better than the Toyota engineers.

You really want moar power you can actually use? Get a supercharger :boink:

The cool air intake that came with the truck is the least expensive option--save your money for something that will make a real difference...

Use the stock intake/air box with a K&N filter. An aftermarket CAI is pointless without a serious engine build.....unless you want to spend a couple hundred bucks for a little sound. Truth is...Tacomas will never be HP beasts & still be daily drivable.

Here's another question for everyone else...if your looking for something that will help with fuel efficiency will a drop in filter yield about the same MPG as a CAI filter? I know the MPG is minimal with both but and was just curious if a drop in filter and CAI yields same results. I'm sure driving habits will help also whether using stock filter or aftermarket.

Neither one will provide any change. If you are buying an intake it is for sound/looks.

The blue line is base line completely stock.

The green line is URD Competition Y Pipe w/ the URD 3" Cat-Back Exhaust.

The red line includes the URD CAI.

Yeah when you eliminate the cats and use the urd mafcal you will see gains. A stock truck with just an intake will see nothing.

Also, I'd like to see a real dyno instead of the manufacturer who makes the stuff

Edit: also I was talking about mpg not power

    Thank!

I use GUNK engine cleaner, once it's been washed rinsed and dry. I then apply the GUNK engine shine, let it sit for a bit and wipe it off.
