Does anybody who owns one or more cold air intakes know the best brand for the price? I’m going to run the intake without a tune for probably a month or 2 until I save enough money for a tuner. I was thinking the k and n 63 series was a great choice, but I don’t have as much as experience as some of y’all.

The factory intake draws air from the passenger side wheelwell opening. Getting outside temperature air instead of heated engine compartment air.

I looked at getting one as well. The claimed HP and Torque increases were too small to be able to feel. To me it wasn't worth the money to get a return that l wouldn't even notice.

There are probably a combination of Air intake and reprogramming that can give you a but more power than a CAI alone. Depends on what you want to spend for the performance increase that you will get back. A different sound is gauranteed.

    Welcome, and good luck

Welcome Andrew and prepare yourself. :crapstorm:

If you are going to stay N/A and not supercharge then it probably isn't worth it to touch your intake unless you just want a different sound. However, @JustDSM and @nd4spdbh can open up your N/A engine beyond your wildest dreams for the cost of HPTuner and/or credits. You can also ship them your ECU, but they have options and your money will be MUCH better spent than an aftermarket CAI for N/A then hoping on a tune. Check them out first.

    Welcome to the show...

Yeah I was thinking the numbers of about 8-9 were small, but I thought they would increase after a tune. Then again I could be wrong.

Stock intake isnt restrictive at all until you are supercharged (and even then, its minimal till you get into smaller pulleys). You wont really gain any hp or tq with an aftermarket CAI, the stock one does a good job of keeping cool fresh air going into the motor with way better filtration than aftermarket.
