A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Drop bracket is junk IMO by if you was 6" then your options are Fabtech and Trail Master...Pro Comp is 4" only.

If you're looking for just height then go ahead and get the 6" lift, but for the 2g you would spend on it a MUCH better performing option would be new Coilovers up front and a progressive AAL pack with new shocks in the back. Your truck will off road and perform like a dream. The 6" db lift adds no performance to your truck, just height.

I love the way my truck rides with the 6" FabTech DB lift! It was a big purchase (like they said above), but totally worth the $1995 IMO. If that's the look you want, then go for it! It's YOUR truck, dood! :) For a daily driver and the vehicle of choice for long trips, DB lifts are ideal because you'll keep the CVs stock and just go up in height! I still do a lot of off-road and trail riding, and I have had no problems! Super fun truck that has 35x12.50s (and could even go to 37s! :D

This is kinda old pic, but it makes me laugh at how small Tacomas can be! :p

If this is what you want to do, then DEF go with the FabTech lift, as it is better than the ProComp and TrailMaster kits IMO. The kit will add about 300 lbs since the parts really "beef up" the truck! I installed myself, so there was no installation charge. All said and done, the kit cost about $1995 and took about 4 - 5 hours to install!

save your money and do an sas down the road you can have anywhere from 4-10" of lift that way and your truck will be unstoppable off road

Very true! But not the most practical for daily driving or long trips.

Not worth the money. As Mark said you could get a very good riding Mid travel setup for that price and actually have more clearence then a drop bracket lift.

go with a nice 3in setup, DB lifts only hurt offroad performance by raising the COG, and you'll still be dragging that bracket on every rock.

Yeah, but with a big DB lift you can put WAY bigger tires on, which will put your clearance up! That's my big plan! 37's WOULD ROCK!!! :D ha ha If this guy's rig is going to be used for offroad, then def stay away from the DB lifts. If it's a daily driver, DB is def the best route especially when wanting the full 6 inches of lift! ;)

35's fit just fine on 3" of lift, with some clearancing of course.

37's are too big for IFS, I hope you have a lot of spare cash to buy CV's.

Ya 37s put too much stress on stock drive line. 35s are bad enough

Why not? If done right it will ride as good or better than a lifted IFS truck.

Hit the nail on the head, especially if you're running lockers. I grenaded several CV with lockers and 33's. I would be too comfortable with 37's on the stock rear shafts either... just a lot of unneeded stress when 33's or 35's will do 85-90% of what you need it to do.

as everyone said Fabtech stage 2 would be a good set up for the 6" right?
planning to run on 35 only not 37, as everyone here said 37 put too much
stress for the front cv axles.
any other picx of the Tabtech 6" lifted tacos?
would you post for me to look at? thanks.

If your going to go with 35s then please do it correctly and cut to fit them. You can fit 35s on a 3'' lift with a little cutting. Im about to do it within the next couple weeks.

If your just going for looks and dont give a shit about offroading then go ahead and get a 6'' drop bracket lift, some 3'' blocks, some gnarly as fuck 3'' spacers, and why not put some 40s on there?
